I have to do this multi-genre thing for my English final about The Once and Future King. It's a King Arthur book. What we have to do it read part of it, choose a character, and do five different types of writing conserning that character. I did a poem about Arthur when he was younger and how he met Merlin. Although the Disney version of The Sword and the Stone is base off this book, Arthur does not go into the woods looking for an arrow; he goes after an owl he's trying to catch. I need to clarify that for this to make any sense. Tell me what you think!
So It Began
It all began with a boy and a bird.
With a boy and a bird it began.
A bird to the forest, and a boy to the bird,
To bring it back home to keep.
The boy in the forest spied the man at the well,
A man with great talent for magic.
He wore a long robe embroidered with gold
And symbols of his own creation.
It all began with a boy and a wizard.
With a boy and a wizard it began.
A wizard to a cottage and a boy to a wizard,
Invited for peaches at breakfast.
The boy in the cottage spied gizmos and gadgets,
All of great marvel and wonder.
Each had it own ability, a function, a magic,
Like Archimedes, the smart, talking owl.

The owl ignoring, the young boy imploring,
Hoping to make a new friend.
The boy wanted Archie the name for the owl,
But Merlin stopped and said, “No.
You have much to learn and I’m going to teach you;
For one, never nickname a bird.”

With a wizard for teacher, and an owl for friend,
So did a journey begin
