Well, there is good news and bad news. You can pick which one you want first and read them accordingly. I suggest bad news first because it would make more sense.
Bad: The warranty I have, for whatever reason, doesn't seem to cover anything, including damages to the screen. Apparently it doesn't cover mechanical/technical problems, disfunctions in the operation of the camera, anything and everything to do with the screen, defects that came with purchase, natural disasters, accidents and even "Acts of God." s**t for warranty, in other words. So, I have to actually pay for the repair fees, if not buy a new camera. Either way it's probably going to cost a bit of money, and since I can't get a job my mom has to pay for it. Not only do I feel bad, but now I owe her more. So much for saving up for a computer... I won't get my camera back for a few weeks if it does get repaired, so I'm going to be picture-less for awhile.
Good: Fortunately, my mom's not angry. She knows I take care of my camera and am super upset that I broke it, and that I feel bad. She also realizes it's my fault but isn't going to sit and b***h at me about it. I think that's because I'm not just like, "Oh whatever, fix it or get me a new one." So, she's willing to pay for repairs. If it costs more than the camera itself did, which I've heard it might for some stupid reason, or if it would just be better to get a new camera, then that's what I'm going to do. If I'm gonna get a new one, I get the newer model of the camera I had... I had the Sony Cybershot DSC-W50. It's a nice camera... Lots of fancy settings, small enough for me to carry around everywhere, not to mention it's 6 megapixels, which equals around twice the size of my computer screen. It's my baby. The newest model I know of is the DSC-W70, which has fancier settings, looks exactly the same and is 7.5 megapixels if I remember correctly. So... I either get a new camera, or I get my baby back. I'm not sure which I would prefer. I really love my old cammy. <333
Oh, and I bought a screen clothe thing to keep the camera wrapped in when I carry it around. I'm going to start bringing my tinky little case around when I take it places, and I'm gonna ask for a better, more protective case for Christmas.
So, things will be okay in the end. I'm still kind of upset because of the feel bad factor, my anger towards Best Buy, and just missing my camera. :/ ... I'll live, though. Things happen.
