I had the perfect lie
The timing was off by a few seconds, but it didn't matter
I was watching a movie
It was warm
I was home
He was there too
He looked different than yesterday, though he wore the same clothes. Out of laziness or something else
His hair looked duller
He wrapped his coat around him tighter
He must have been cold, or scared
I couldn't think of what though
His tail was laying down, it never did
His eyes fell away from the screen
They stared at the floor dead
His red ears were limp close to his head
I asked him what was wrong
He didn't answer
It was raining
A few trees were probably down by now
It was really coming down
The house still smelled like chinese food
He hadn't eaten, again
Maybe I shouldn't have taken him to school
He was so withdrawn
And shy
I had the perfect lie
To say I didn't love him at all
But he looked cold, and scared, and too far into his own thoughts
I wanted to save him
To say the rain reminded me of him, for no reason other than focusing his attention away from the floor
Or how he should have tried my lomein that I caught him staring at
But I had the perfect lie

It's a journal, so it changes. I couldn't really make a description for something not completely set in place.
It's basically updates, announcements, or me ranting about something.
