05. It’s Saturday Again
Halloween was pretty cool, I went as a hunter and Niota was a princess. It was pretty awesome. We went down where the carnival in Parker usually is, but it wasn’t there. It was actually being held by the eagles this year and we didn’t know. That really sucks though… We had a pretty good time anyways. I didn’t leave her house until a quarter to twelve and got home a little after midnight. We mostly just talked or what ever but yeah… We had an away game which we lost (against River Valley) and it was so ghetto that we didn’t have any bleachers so we sat on the ground and Mrs. O was mad that we weren’t sitting together as a band to sound better. I can’t blame her, but uh... I guess I’m not much of a leader when it comes to things like that. The next day we had a parade somewhere and I was too tired to go and I felt sick, and I haven’t been able to get myself to go yet however even if I never get that note to her I think my grade won’t suffer too horrible if I go to the two parades this week too.
Plus we went to the Arizona State Fair on Thursday (Nov 3, 05) We marched for about 20 minutes and then had 4 hours to do what ever we wanted to. I got a peach icy, fry bread, a fruit drink that was watermelon blended up and ate fresh pine apple and a few other fruits for the first time... It was pretty neat I guess. We ate at Denny’s before we left and I had an omelet of course… The bus ride home was pretty interesting and we’re laying out our ideas really well I think. She’s so wonderful at doing that, but it still hurts a little that she was criticizing my work even through it was positive. Ha, I guess I’m not used to that but I know there’s room for improvement and sometimes it means more if someone close to you says it rather than a stranger you may just brush off. That’s life I guess.
As for TV, I was watching Trading Spouses, and there’s a psychotic christen lady who isn’t open at all to other cultures, and everything that’s non-christen is “dark-sided” like tarot cards, physics, hippies, the solstice seemed like a ritual to her and she thinks the hippy family are of the devil. She claims to be able to speak to god and feel the Holy Spirit inside of her. Whether that’s true or not may not apply to anything, but what about ‘don’t just lest you be judged?’ (Quoted by Lisa from the Halloween special we watched yesterday! Ha….) the hippy mom was attacked by the Christian’s lady’s friends and they are also in the belief that everything non-christen is of the devil and that she must be a satin-worshiper. That’s just so rude….
Last night I stayed up past 3 ‘o clock and it was pretty fun, Julie was still up too and she woke up before me! I woke up around 10:30 because that’s when it starts getting kind of hot in my room. Today I need to do dishes & laundry and I need to take a shower too, I don’t look so good plus I feel a little icky. Not like it matters that much or anything….
Plus I have a billion more pennies for Robert’s penny collection. = )
