why do our hearts bleed and die?
I saw the wounds-though fleeting
your eyes subdued with red tears
when i hear you crying
its like im dying again
if i write my sins in white
will you still see me shaking?
do not touch my fearful heart
for it will shatter and destroy
it pricks and bleeds but
i am not afraid of dieing
i struggle with broken wings
but i cannot leave your side
thoughts of you hold me still
your heartbeat next to mine
i think youd be ashamed if i
told you the real reason why..
searching for your face yet
lost in my own shadows
and my thoughts washed away
but i still do not know
why do our hearts bleed and die?
