saturday. tournament.
in the 5a division it was only loara and savanna.
we didn't even get to change out of uniform or eat before the awards.
and they took forever to get to our division. we were sitting upon our gauntlets.
savanna-1st place. they cheered.
we said nothing. though we knew we were the true winners.
why? because there's the sweepstakes award.
since there were only two competitors in our division, that meant 1st or sweepstakes.
we won sweepstakes for all the categories.
savanna was polite and clapped for us, but their expressions were blank.
we chose not to rub it in their faces yet merely cheered for ourselves.
throughout the awards ceremony,
other bands were singing cheers and such.
we should have sang the weenie man song to scare them.
doug kept saying "oh yeah" in an extremelt low voice.
it reminded me of the kool-aid guy.
when they asked us "hey loara, how do you feel" we didn't feel like saying
"we feel good, oh we feel so good, uh" so the trombones just said fat.
even if they weren't.
danielle suggested we say dead sexy.
very funny times. and victorious times.
our scores broke the 80's. which is very good.
we haven't won sweepstakes for band (not percussion) for a while.
so that was good.
and other things made me happy as well but i am too lazy to post them all.
do not ruin my mood. (:
