Today wasn't the best. I was on the way to pick up a fellow crew member, when a lady ran a stop light. I couldn't stop the van in time to avoid her. I had the green light, and I was going the speed limit. My mom was in the van with me and noticed her first. I breaked as hard as I could without locking my breaks. A dull thud, and then, my van was no longer moving. Neither was her car. Her car had the most damage. All fluids where coming from her vechile. She was so dazed. I was so thankful that my mom handled every thing because I broke down crying. Crying for me is a very rare event. However, seeing as this was my first accident ever, crying seemed very apporiate. The accident was the lady's fault and she even amitted it to the police. I received no ticket and only minor, cosmetic damage to my van. No major injuries, and the intersection was quickly cleaned up. I was so shock up for quite awhile afterward. I'm fine now.
