Kiba~I don’t think Macalania is the best while you’re pregnant. Fiends appear way more often here
Reiketsu~Yeah mom. You can barely fight anymore.
Ann~I can still cast magic
Koneko~But Lulu said you shouldn’t.
Ann~It’s fine. I want to spend time with you while you train
Tenka~Will you promise not to fight any fiends we come across?
Ann~Okay. I promise. You guys need to stop worrying.
Kiba~You are 36 weeks pregnant. If Lady Tsunade was here, you’d already be on bedrest. Please take it easy.
Ann~I will. Please stop fussing about it
Kiba~No. You’ve tried to kill me countless of times and still insist on coming with us. Unless you stay on the airship or on Besaid, I will fuss about your safety as much as I want. You’ve almost died and overexerted yourself too many times to count. Even if you become an unsent it won’t be the same.
Ann~O-okay, honey. I’ll take it easy. You’re completely right.
She wiped her eye and gave him and the triplets a kiss. Kiba was not normally overbearing, so she knew he was serious about the situation.
Ann~O’aka’s shop isn’t far from here. After you guys have had your fill, we can go and rest there. I promise not to act up to scare them either.
Reiketsu~Do you really promise?
Ann~I swear on my other eye.
The triplets groaned and Kiba sighed. It was better that she was acting out in this way than exerting herself physically.
Ann~Hehehe, let’s go. I’d rather not be on the airship anymore either. The air pressure hurts my feet.
Kiba~You better decide where to have the baby so we have enough time to walk there if you can’t be on the airship.

The family was able to train and not worry about Ann. She was even able to safely nap as well at some point. After they used most of their healing inventory, they made their way to O’aka’s shop.
O’aka~Welcome to O’aka’s. Oh! Why if it isn’t Lady Ann and family. I haven’t seen you since their birthday. How’s the newest one coming along?
Ann~O’aka, you sweet talker. The baby is just fine.
O’aka~Do you need to stay the night again? I can have Wantz set up a room.
Ann~We’ll hold off from that. We just need to rest first from training
O’aka~You are much too far along to still be training! Kiba, how could you let her?
Ann~Oh, you don’t have to pretend O’aka. I wasn’t training anyway
She yawned
Kiba~Looks like you need to rest some more. Go sit over there. You’ll be more comfortable on the cushion than the chair.
Koneko~Yeah! Me too!
Ann sleepily hummed in response as she led Koneko with her to the sitting area, and they quickly fell asleep together.
O’aka~She really shouldn’t be out.
Kiba~She’s always done whatever she wanted. I’m the only one not afraid of her death threats and she’s still barely controllable.
Reiketsu~Yeah…not to mention how many times Mha’s tried to physically take you down
O’aka~What for, if ye don’t mind?
Kiba~Dessert. She has to have some sort of pastry every couple of hours.
Tenka~We need to get more. There isn’t enough to last to dinner
O’aka~If you can make it, you’re welcome to the kitchen. Bevelle ain’t far either, if ye need to go there instead.
Kiba~That is a horrible idea.
O’aka~Why can’t ye go?
Kiba~separation anxiety.
Reiketsu~Mom has that?
Kiba~Yeah…Not as bad as when she had you three, but it gets bad.
Tenka~That’s why there?
Kiba nodded
O’aka~I see. Need to be within sight?
Kiba~Yup. Or at the very least know where we’ll be.
O’aka~Not much for options until she wakes then. What’ll you guys be up to?
Kiba~I’ll see what I can manage in the kitchen. Tenka, Rei, please behave for O’aka, and if you can help it stay where you can see your mother.
Both~Yes dad.
Kiba went down the hall. The boys glared at O’aka

O’aka~Aye, aye. Just a minute. While I get them, shouldn’t you wake the other one?
Reiketsu~She’ll get her turn. Unless you got something interesting, she really enjoys her daggers and don’t need to be woken yet.
O’aka sighed and went behind the counter. He brought onto the counter one weapon and held onto two swords
O’aka~These here twin swords are special. Theys can attach side to side, pommel to pommel, and spine to spine.
Reiketsu took the swords and swung them around, testing how they felt with the different ways they attached
Reiketsu~Attributes?
O’aka~Reflect and chance to status break
Reiketsu~No death strike?
O’aka~Sorry kid. Difficult to come by and your mother will kill me for handing you something like that
Reiketsu sighed but nodded. Tenka came to inspect the spear head
Tenka~What exactly is this?
O’aka~This here is a collapsible polearm. You twist it to extend or collapse, and then you can tighten it so that it locks.
Tenka took it to inspect the best angle to extend the shaft. He held it to the side and twisted the cylinder and head. The cylinder extended and narrowed, then he tested the ease of just pushing it in. The shaft coiled in on itself fluidly. Tenka locked it into place and checked to see if it still collapsed. It didn’t budge, even when he used it to jump across the room. He smiled and collapsed it again
Tenka~The twisting mechanism will be interesting to use in battle. What are the attributes for this one?
O’aka~It will slow fiends, and it reduces your mana consumption. I noticed when you spar you do a lot more support for your brother and sister
Tenka nodded at his statement
Reiketsu~Make sure to give Koneko hers when she wakes
O’aka~Aye, don’t worry your little head. I didn’t forget about her.
Ann~Rei…Tenka?
Reiketsu~Yeah mom?
Ann~Stop…stop doing things. Nap.
She stretched and pulled Koneko closer
Reiketsu~Not tired
Tenka hit him
Reiketsu~What?
Tenka~You’ll wake her
Ann~Father?
Tenka~Kitchen. Are you hungry mom?
Ann~No. Come nap
Tenka quietly~You don’t need to sleep. Just sit with mom so she doesn’t wake.
Reiketsu~Fine.
O’aka~Hehe, enjoy.

Without meaning to, Reiketsu and Tenka had fallen asleep as well with their mother and sister. They woke from Kiba gently shaking them awake. The triplets slowly woke and got up first.
Ann~But it’s too early…
Kiba~You were only supposed to nap. Not sleep till tomorrow.
O’aka~She can do that?
Kiba~Yeah. Especially if she doesn’t want little donut holes for a snack.
Ann~I want some
Kiba~Alright, but only if you get up. You’ve been in that spot for well over an hour now.
Ann~But was comfy
They helped her to her feet. She and the triplets stretched and cracked their backs. O’aka flinched
O’aka~Even the kids. Your life sure is tough.
Reiketsu~But it makes intimidation easier. Right, mom?
Ann~Yeah. Especially without having to kill someone.
O’aka~Wait a minute
Kiba~Ann, that’s something we shouldn’t be sharing
O’aka~So she has?!
Koneko~Uncle taught us that
Kiba~Why do I try?
O’aka~Has they killed a man before?!
Ann~No. Why? Their upbringing is a lot laxer than mine. Why are you panicking?
O’aka~But you just…and they just!
Kiba sighed~Honey, you’re doing that thing again. Go on into the kitchen. You can have what’s on the table. The one on the counter is for later
Ann~If I want more?
Kiba~There’s some fruit on the table
Ann~Yesssss
She quickly waddled to the hallway leading to the kitchen, bumping her shoulder at the corner along the way.
Tenka~It looks like mom is still waking up. I’ll make sure she doesn’t eat the traveling batch.
Kiba ruffled his hair as he walked off
Kiba~Thanks son. We’ll be there soon.
He held Reiketsu’s and Koneko’s shoulders.
Kiba~Explain the weapons before mom notices. O’aka, I want to hear from you too.
Koneko~How’d you know?
Kiba~Since your mother got pregnant, I started to notice that your weapons changed each time we visited here. You also declined us buying weapons for you. And you left your newest find over there
Koneko~You got a new one already?!
Reiketsu smacked her
Kiba~Don’t hit your sister. Now, fess up.
Reiketsu sighed~Koneko started it. O’aka and Wantz were panicking about the stuff mom could do and, she started to threaten them using mom.
Koneko~Did not start it. You were the one telling them mom killed people before
Kiba~O’aka?
O’aka~Aye. T’is true. Theys was gonna hurt the lass to force Ann into a rage to hurt us before we could explain. Didn’t say nothin’ ‘cause it’d be the same result anyway.
Kiba~Who suggested the weapons?
Reiektsu~Tenka.
Kiba~Alright. Group effort, got it. You three have gotten significantly better at that. But, after this set, you’ll only get one more set of free weapons each. Otherwise, your mother might finally catch on. O’aka, next time tell me. At least Ann won’t try to kill me for the most part.
O’aka~Oi! You’re the only one who can keep her from going off the deep end? Besides Sir Auron?
Kiba~Any of the triplets can too if I’m not around. The trick is if they’re in cahoots or not.
Ann~KIBA!
O’aka~s**t!
Reiketsu~I think mom wants you
Kiba~y-yeah. Just…hold on she’s never yelled at me like that before
Koneko~Should start walking though before she comes out
Kiba nodded and went to the kitchen tapping his chest.
O’aka~Nearly had me a heart attack

Kiba~Yes honey?
Tenka~Mom, you didn’t need to yell
Wantz~I thought yous was gonna kill me!
Ann~I was already calling you and you didn’t say anything
Tenka~No you didn’t
Ann~Of course I was
Kiba nodded~Telepathy?
Ann~Yes. How else?

Kiba hit the back of his head

Kiba~You’d do it too. You’re only upset I beat you to it.
Tenka~Sorry dad.
Kiba~Go take the donuts to your siblings. You left something there
He raised his eyebrow at his son.
Tenka~Yes dad.
He took the leftover donuts and quickly left.
Wantz~W-was he serious about that?
Kiba~Yeah. She can’t do it here. You’re fine to think whatever you want.
Wantz slowly nodded then Ann threw an orange at him
Kiba~Ann!
Ann~He was thinking that I’m crazy
Wantz~I thought you said she couldn’t read minds!
Kiba~Well with that response you only confirmed her suspicion.
Ann~He had that look that Kakashi gives me all the time.
Wantz~Well I’m not gonna be pelted again
He left. Kiba sighed and sat with her
Kiba~Now, why did you need me?
Ann~Remember on the triplets’ birthday I went to Mount Gagazet while you guys went to the desert?
Kiba~Yeah. Did something happen that you “forgot” to tell me?
Ann~Yes, but not in a bad way.
Kiba~So?
Ann~Kimahri says that the baby is gonna be a girl
Kiba~Really? He could tell?
Ann~I trust him on it
Kiba~We should start thinking on some girl names. Did you want to tell the triplets they’ll have a baby sister?
Ann~No. Let it be a surprise.
Kiba~Hehe okay. Where are we going next after here?
Ann~Let’s go to Bevelle to stock up on food. I don’t want to take all of O’aka’s things.

Koneko~Why was Mom yelling?

He took a donut and passed it to Koneko before grabbing another for himself
Tenka~Did Dad find out?
Koneko~Yeah. After this we only get one more each
