I really want to get a new english horn... not that I've ever owned one, but you know what I meant... the only thing is, they're so expensive... twice the price of my oboe... and about 10 times the price of my saxaphone... well, atleast for the one I want anyways... a really nice one, like a loree, cost about 8 to 10 thousand dollars new. A cheaper one like a fox (my oboe is a fox) is about 4 to 5 thousand new... so if I want one, I have to pay for it myself, and I obviously don't have $5,000 cuz I don't have a job... I should get one... but anywho, I really think it would help me get into a nice college... I'm planning on majoring in music btw... but since I'm not very good at bassoon (in fact, I hate it) I'll need something else to give me an edge to help me get a good scholarship. If anyone's reading this, they're probably thinking "well, get a job then" but it's not that simple... yes I do have a car now and I can drive it... but during the school year I'm so overwhelmed with homework and basketball practice and practicing my 3 instruments... I wanted to get a job this summer, but I couldn't drive and there's no where close that I can walk or ride my bike to... maybe next summer...
