It's my mom's birthday today, so I thought that I’d be nice and make her supper and dessert. I didn't get her a gift, but that's cus she said all she wanted was to come home one day and have supper already made. So that's what I did. I made a chicken casserole thingy (not sure if that's actually what it is but I used a casserole dish to cook it so that's what I’m calling it) with a tomatoes-rice sauce (It's actually really good) and I made her a coconut cake...was supposed to be blueberry but I was too lazy to go to the store and buy some, so I just put in coconut. And it's actually a muffin recipe...but I put it in a cake pan...hopefully it won't taste like a**.

Decided that I need to save up a HUGE amount of money for university next year since I’m probably gonna go to Lethbridge. I decided that if I want to be a teacher (still can't get over the feeling that I’m under-achieving being that btw) I’d rather do it consecutively instead of in pieces like I’d have to do at U of C. Anyways, I’ll need to save up money to buy a car, and to get a house. I decided that I’d like to buy a house because it's less expensive in the long run. No point paying rent for 5 years and getting nothing out of it right. at least if I buy a house I can get room-mates to help me pay off the mortgage and if I decide to move back to Calgary or somewhere else after I get my teaching degree then I can rent it out, thus using someone else to pay off my mortgage and when the mortgage is paid off I reap the profits of being a home-owner. See it's all thought out. I’m not 100% sure if I want to go there though...it's far away and I’m pretty shy when it comes to meeting new ppl and I don't know if everything will work out the way i want it too without going deep into debt. *sigh*

On a much more amusing note, my brother and his friend where being idiots last night. Paul was sleeping over at Matt's house at like...2:30 in the morning Matt's mom phones and asks us if they're over here and I was like no (I picked up the phone since I was already up on account that I couldn't sleep) and my mom was on the other line as well and she was all like ********* hell*-in her mind of course-anyways Matt's mom says she woke up and went to check on them (they've done stupid s**t like this before) and they weren't in the house and the back door was wide open. So my mom's like when you find them call me and I’ll come get Paul. So like 15 minutes later my mom gets the phone and tells me Paul is on his way home. Sooo when he finally gets home my mom asks him what he was doing and he's like it's no big deal and tells us that him and Matt were going around Ogden ringing ppl's doorbell's and running away. s**t man, its OGDEN, that's the ******** ghetto of Calgary, ppl there have guns and will KILL you for stupid s**t like that. Believe me, ppl have been attacked in Ogden for a lot less then that, I used to live there, I know! And the most frustrating thing is my mom didn't even yell at him. She didn't do anything! But I guess he got what he deserved since he broke his finger jumping off some idiot’s porch while trying to get away. Loser.

Annnnnyways, I just checked my cake and it looks a little bit like Hank Hill's a**...it's puffy on the outsides, yet flat and droopy in the middle. It doesn't seem to be cooked all the way through either...it's been in there for like 20-30 minutes (my oven is old and kinda ******** up, burn's outsides yet leaves insides a nice, gummy paste. yumm). Anyways hopefully it'll taste ok (ya right lol).
