Comic Con - Follow Up
Wow...where to start.
I guess I could start in saying that I bought a LOT of stuff. I mean a LOT of stuff. But we don't need to get into that aside from Gaia biggrin
Anyway it was AWESOME this year to see so many OMG hats around! Last year I only saw one at the con and that was the ONLY Gaia thing I saw. This year there were Grunnies and OMGs EVERYWHERE. I couldn't help but be amused by it.
I, of course, couldn't remember the name of the company that Gaia was sharing a booth with so I couldn't look up where they were so I quickly found a group of girls (I think there were three) who were wearing the hats and one of them hat a Coco and a Kiki and I'm all "okay...where's the booth? biggrin " And they were awesome and gave me directions and commented on my Grunny. Thanks for that, girls, by the way! I'm stupid and never would have gone that far. XD
I didn't really talk to many other people. I saw this one guy who had an OMG and a Grunny who was waiting for Roman Dirge at the SLG booth so that was cool. Especially because he looked to be slightly older than the average Gaia user. lol
So yes...I went to the booth, saw Dri and VO...poor Dri was listening to people gripe about being banned and what they could do to get their account back. I would have offered her a cookie but I had none. sad
I bought myself a Coco and totally had to keep from getting the wristbands only because I'd never wear them. But I must admit the Grunny one was calling to me. lol
After roaming around the con for a while I went over to a small Irish Pub and had a few drinks and talked with a couple from Sweden that were on their Honeymoon. They were traveling seriously EVERYWHERE in the US and then they were going to London before heading back home...I was envious.
The next day after the Con I went to Sea World and nearly had a fit when I heard the penguin encounter was closed. crying
I still got to see some neat-o outdoor penguin thingies that actually seemed to enjoy the summer heat but it just wasn't the same as getting to go into the actual giant area with tons of penguins. Oh well. I still had fun anyway despite it being insanely hot.
...And that's about all I have to say. Didn't bring my camera so no interesting pictures from me. I think next year we're going to try and book a hotel room that is a LOT closer so we can actually hang around all the bars and such that evening rather than having to drive 30 miles to our hotel (not that that was all that bad either, though.)
As for new stuff...I don't know what's up with the new avatar layering stuff. It's making my avi do crazy things. Doesn't look like the admins quite planned this update to be compatible with the zombies just yet. Oh well.
