Cold!

So....
Where to start?

--------------------------------

June 24th, in the lousy morning --

The first day wasn't as well as I thought. Waking up at four in the morning (none for me, since I didn't sleep at all during that night, thanks to packing), we departed to the nearest airport for check-in at the terminal. We were with a group of tourists that was to take a tour around Japan, and my parents had all the things prepped. I was literally offline for a few days before the 24th, because parents were making a mad dash to prep up and such, while I was to take care of the electronics. The recorders, the cameras, all that nifty stuff. Yup.
The tour guide was very....er, unreliable, to say the least. Not only was our seating on the plane randomly spread, the group was literally scattered about during takeoff and landing, and it took quite some time for the tour guide to reassemble us back together. I literally slept an hour or so - which was a bad idea at the time - on the plane, and when I woke up...
Let's just say I wasn't in a good mood by then.

We first departed to Kansai (or was it Kyoto? Can't remember) and had a luxurious Spa at a nearby hot spring. Half of the tourists refused, and only a few people like me decided to take the hot spring.

It's all right...
But it was a bad choice. Not only were the changing rooms......er.......obscenely naked, it took some time getting used to the people being......
...I think I'll leave that part out for today. ^.^;

And during check out in the hot springs? Well....sadly, my Jap level is very limited, and the trouble of speaking different languages wasn't a pleasant idea....

Other than that, we arrived to one of the hotels, stayed there for a night, and I snored my way to the next day....long story short. >.>;

I'll post the next day's situation later. ninja

Waaah! Onsen's are pretty neat. The dressing rooms threw me off at first too, but it's totally normal for the Japanese, and I got used to it really fast (No choice, really. *Mentally curses her mother.* >O). And it's not just in the Spas, but regular public baths, and also water-type amusement parks!

The language barrier can be a real b***h sometimes too. x_x; Hand gestures and pictures seem to work though. And plane rides... ugh. From East Coast USA to Japan... that's 18 hours on a damn plane, and I've done it four times... Horrible, absolutely horrible. gonk

Sounds like you had an eventful first day. xD I hope it wasn't all bad~. heart
