The Ramblings of a Lonely Crazy Person
I’m going to try to keep this entry short, so I can take a nap, but time does get away from me sometimes when I start typing these things... Let’s hope it doesn’t this time.

This week I earned a whole twenty dollars from the old lady I mentioned last week. Whoo-hoo, we won’t starve this holiday season! My time over there wasn’t terrible or anything, but I’m being very careful to keep my mouth shut when it comes to anything touchy or anything I might disagree with anyone about. I won’t lie unless I have to, but I’m also not going to just spit out what I think freely. Also, the lady keeps trying to give me things. The last couple of times I worked for her she’d give me things and I’d feel bad for taking them, so I’m not going to be accepting anything form her. The gift giving thing also gets me to relax my guard somewhat, and I can’t do that, so, yeah... Other than that, I’ve got no complaints thus far.

In other news, this big Siamese cat that’s been coming into the back yard and hanging out let me pet him last night. I noticed him lounging on some chairs my room mate brought home for the back yard, and decided to try and say hello. I’ve seen him before and he usually runs off, but I wanted to try to say hi anyway. When I approached he changed from laying down to a seated position and decided to sit sideways and not constantly stare at me. I don’t know cat body language perfectly, but I’m pretty sure they don’t consider something a threat if they take their eyes off it when it’s close. So, I reached out with a hand and pointed a finger at him. I learned years ago cats will instinctively go toward a point if presented with one. Not sure why they do that, but anyway, it worked! He checked me out a little bit then went back to sitting sideways not looking at me, so I inched forward and tried to scratch his head with that finger I had pointed at him. He pushed his head into my hand, and I ended up standing there for several minutes giving him scratches cats like. On top of the head, behind the ears, under the chin. I don’t know if he purred at all, but he kept leaning in for more scratchings, so I’m pretty sure he liked it. After a bit, I had to stop and go inside to take care of the dog, but, yeah, I made another cat friend! I do that entirely too easily. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been able to get cats to like me. Is that weird?

Last bit I’m going to mention this week is that my mother’s mother asked for our address. I talked to my room mate and he said he didn’t want to give out our information, and I don’t really want to either. The folks on that side of my family are pretty much strangers, and with that almost scam happening a month or two ago, I’m very wary about people on the internet. That being said, I don’t know how to say no in a nice way in this situation. Even if I’m as polite as I can be, I don’t know if the other person will see it in the way I intend. What to do... ? confused I’ll figure it out after my nap. I’m sleepy and I’ve been typing for over a half an hour.

I might also have to work tomorrow on very little sleep because the older cat is in heat and yowls, so, yeah, a good nap is needed. Nighty night internet... For now. ( Side Note: I'm so tired I forgot how to spell "yowl" and had to find it by searching for synonyms for "howl". That's a good sign, I'm sure... How am I able to spell "synonym" easily and not "yowl"? )
