While haunting Q&F today, the fact that there are alot of racist threads in GD was brought up. I headed over there, and saw no fewer than five threads on the <b>first page</b> talking about white people, either in the sense that they suck, or that they're better than everyone else.
This ******** hurts my soul.
I'm white. I'm so white I'm translucent. Glow in the dark kinda white. Alot of people think that I'm asian online, with a screen name like Sikona Mihabashi. Although, that was on another forum. Here, most people have asian names. But anyways, no, I'm not asian. Sikona was a name that I <b>made up</b> while playing Final Fantasy 7 one day. I named Tifa "Sikona", really liked it (although I hate her), and took it for myself. Mihabashi just sounded good with it. But you know what? I go by Sikona Grant just as often.
These threads, saying that whites are better or worse than everyone else... what are these people thinking? A person's worth isn't determined by their skin color, but by <b>them</b>, their thoughts and actions.
I'm not racist. I have good friends from all over the place, and I'm always interested in meeting people from other cultures. But I am prejudiced. I'm prejudiced against assholes and ********. They're the threat out there. And so insidious... they can masquerade as anyone, without something as telling as physical features to mark them out. There are jerks of every sex, color, age, size, religion... you name a group of people, and there are jerks there.
