Palm Sunday is a christian holiday in which people remember Jesus's entry into Jerusalem before his death. People waved palm branches and laid them in the road as he made his way past them. Lots of churches hand out palms or other plants to substitute as palms to their congregations. Some people take them home and hang them up for good luck. Others bury them to promote good crops. And others use them to decorate graves. Some churches also burn them and use the ashes in the following years Ash Wednesday ceremonies.
Palms are a symbol of joy, peace, and victory.
