there's one fantastic thing about thailand that i absolutely love- counterfeit everything. they love to copy designer labels and make tshirts, bags, sandals, hats, etc... paul frank (sometimes the monkeys dont look like monkeys) ,diesel, and.... von dutch. they LOVE to copy von dutch. there's von dutch everything here..... and its CHEAP. i got a tshirt and hat for 400 baht.... $10.

but the best- dvd movies.

there are some on dvd that just came out in the theater, and my aunt and uncle bought a whole bunch....

what they do is they go into the theater with video cameras and film the screen... the quality is terrible, the camera's tilted, the sound is horrid. but its still watchable. you cant really make out what theyre saying so you turn on the subtitles and you get the worst possible translation. these are my favorite... (what theyre saying really in parenthesis())

the copy of 'the grudge' is completely unwatchable. the sound keeps stopping and the camera's tilted 45 degrees.

now if you'll excuse me, i need to finish watching 'National Treasure'
