Another Edel concept. Heheh. sweatdrop
..except...I still don't know what the hell Tlac would be god OF. *sucks* But I like poor Finn-att, so maybe sometime I'll come up with something and he can stop stomping around in my head. ;__;
I recycled Itztlac's name from my long-since-scrapped War idea, because I still like the name. xd 'Obsidian Man.' x3
Edit: Hah, I've finally settled on something :3. Night!
Itztlac -deity's influence: Night. -colour scheme: Black, with veryvery dark blues and purples (for hair and wings?). Pale silver eyes. -gender or lack thereof: Male. -wing type, if at all: Hybrid fairy/draconic/feather (would look like the night sky eventually?). -tail type, if at all: None. -hair type, if at all: Thick, straight, and long (would become long enough to hit the floor). -two basic lineart edits: Deer antlers, clawed hands.
Finn-att Sokk-att, Herd Chief of The Sunlord's Herd 27 years old, 5 years as Chief Horse half resembles - Vladimir Heavy Draft Overall height - 7'5" Coloring - blood bay Skin - darkly tanned Eyes - very dark brown Hair - black, cropped short (something like this, but not receding XD) Additional features - small antlers (dark/rich red-brown in color), hung with feathers, beads, and bits of carved bone; various ritual and battle scars, including one under each eye, running on a diagonal down towards his nose. His ears, while still in the 'right' place at the sides of his head, are mobile and horselike, haired at the base but giving way to skin. While not bearded, he's not cleanly-shaven, either (as in the hair ref pic). Clothing - Sword belt/sheath that hangs at his waist (human), and a quiver of arrows at his back (both made of tooled leather). Weapons - Mongol-style bow and scimitar. Build - His human half very much fits his horse half - he's sturdy, large, and muscular. 'Strapping' is pretty fitting.
Leads a small herd of 15, including his own 3 mares and two of his own children, as well as one other child. His Lead/First Mare has recently been stolen by his older, more powerful rival, Skorr-att Kutt-att, a dapple grey with a herd of 29. Skorr-att is Chief of The Starspinner's Herd, ally to Hojj-att, leader of The Destroyer's Herd.
While centaurs acknowledge all gods, each herd has a patron, who is the only god they actively worship. Destroyer's Herd is heretical, however, denying the existence of all but the Lord of Destruction.
Most herds have their own shaman, but most small ones like Finn-att's don't. So, when his herd has need of one, they go to the shaman of The Light-bearer's Herd. Just recently, however, the old shaman of the herd passed away from a coughing sickness, and has been replaced by his young apprentice; but unknown to all, he's become a devotee of the Destroyer, working to further his lord's bidding in secret.
When Finn goes to Tiss-arr Fovv, seeking a way to steal his First back from Skorr-att, Tiss-arr gives him an 'enchanted' jewel, inhabited by an old power that will become his if he fuses with it. Recklessly, Finn accepts, and the power inhabits HIM, speaking to him in whispers and promises of power - the power of a god.
Still, this is not enough. Itztlac, as the power names itself, suggests that more is needed, and Finn must go in search of something else that will give him an advantage over his enemies. So he returns to Tiss-arr, who says that the Chief can find what he needs if he has the courage to cross a threshold without knowing what lies on the other side.
Finn-att insists that he does, and the threshold is revealed to him, a dark portal appearing beside the shaman. Urged on by Itzltac, he steps through, into a asphault-paved alleyway. In this modern world, he finds what he needs - guns - but hasn't the proper currency to pay for them. Intending to go home and find something suitable to use as payment, he returns to the alley, but the door has disappeared, and he doesn't know how to bring it back.
After this, Tlac guides him to the Edelsteine shop, where Finn will learn the dire extent of what he's gotten himself into.
