Yu-Gi-Oh!: Card Game Soap Opera 4
Tap-tap-tap, the sputtering rain beat against the circle windows, leaving small streams flow down into the pale, oak, panes. A steamy overcast created a dark shroud, as did sudden summer rain storms would. A boy and a girl no older than the age of 10, who were earlier playing outside when the storm hit, were now soaked to the bone within the rustic looking vacation home. To pass the time and wait out the storm they were playing Yu-Gi-Oh and eating snacks in the warm living room. This wasn’t the fancy Yu-Gi-Oh played with duel arena or holographic monsters, they were playing it as it originally was; traditionally, no technology, but their minds. Of course having a low tech card game wasn’t as exhilarating, it was still fun and it was something to do during the fierce summer downpour. Both of them were rather good at it, even competitive for such young children, alas strong will knows no age. “Darkie destroys Sparky and reborns Watery, two more cards for me!” Pigtail’s bobbing up and down at the sides of her head, the girl’s bicep flexed as she moved cards all over the game board: Fortune Ladies vs. Elemental Heroes. Her jaunty hazel eyes swished from her opponent to what appeared to be a victory. Her hand over her deck, filing two new cards between her fingers drawing them. A damp tank top, from previously being outside covered the frail chick’s torso, with a pair of cut off shorts to complete the sporty ensemble. Her glowing orange eyes widened, but her face remained frozen calm and cool, she had pulled the card she would need to win. The boy clad in similar careless attire, a pair of swimming trunks, shirtless with a towel over his shoulder, also soaked from previous being caught up in the flash storm that appeared literally out of the blue. His bare chest puffed out, he was yet to be defeated in this duel, because he still had an Elemental hero with more power on his field; Flamewingman. “You done?” He asked hastily, wanting to make his move, believing he had game. His crystal blue eyes gazing at the Super polymerization card in his hand, something he was now regretting, because had he set it up on the field, she wouldn’t have her current card advantage. “Ha, my battle phase isn’t even over.” Her contrite tone was unworthy of defeat. While her Fortune Lady water hadn’t attacked, it wasn’t strong enough to defeat the opposing Flamewingman. Instead she revealed a spell card she had drawn. “My Magical Dimension will fix you.” Forcing a smile the boy could only watch, pretending that any monster she could play would be meaningless, but with his life points as low as they were, he couldn’t stand a chance. He knew what was coming. “Come on.” He demanded his imminent loss. Playing Fortune Lady Earth and destroying his Flamewingman, she attacked and won the round. As any child would, she boasted her victory in an unsportsmanlike fashion and as any loser would the boy felt sore. “Let’s go again!” The muscles in his face shifted and held morale at the loss. “But why?” Cheeks puffed with pride and content. “I’ve beaten you like ten times already.” “It was only three!” Pondering she knew a way to end this chain of loss. “How about a new game, winner takes all?” A sly grin was forming. Intrigued he glared at her, still suffering the pain of defeat, holding back tears. “What?” The larger the grin, the more nervous he became. “We draw from our decks, any deck, even the ones we have built, but never use and whoever draws the strongest monster wins? The loser gives over the deck they chose to play with.” Tap-tap-tap, other than the rain upon the window there was a moment of silence. He glanced around the room thinking. Then back at her, he looked away again, focusing his attention to an old antique clock hung up on the wall, it’s hands reading 3 and 8, it had been broken for years, since he could remember… “Hey, we gonna do this?” The girl’s grin as cocky as ever as she shuffled through her decks acting as if she hadn’t decided which one to use, truthfully she already knew. He shook his head, trying to keep his attention avoiding the suggestion of the game, he reached into the empty box of gushers, knowing it was empty, but it would be something to stall with. He drew back his empty hand and sighed... He could not risk it. Though he could use a worthless deck that meant nothing to him, but he just didn’t want to take that risk and lose any cards, or anything else to the girl. “I’ll give you a kiss.” Sweetening the deal without a second thought, she emptily offered. “Why…” He stammered. It would be his first kiss, but he knew she was a tricky trickster of the highest caliber. There would be no fair play. “Yeah right, how are you going to rob me this time? This is a joke.” He began to gather his cards up. He was done playing with her. “No tricks.” She drew an invisible line across her chest. “I will follow the rules and use my own deck. No made up cards, no monster effects. Just attack points is all that matters in this game.” The conartist gleam in her becoming orange eyes remained. It left him with an uneasy feeling. He did not even want to kiss her! Though she was pretty, and good at cards… “You promise no tricks?” As if making this promise would mean anything to her, but it made him reassured. Bobbed her head with enthusiasm, flinging water off her pigtails. “My deck is already on the field.” She would be using her Fortune lady deck. “This has to be a trick if you’re risking your best deck!” He scowled, his skepticism returning in full bloom. The fortune ladies attack power was question marks. So using they meant all her monsters would have zero attack points at the time. “My monsters are super strong, they won’t lose.” She admitted. Feeling clever he told her she couldn’t switch once they began. “Your deck is locked in, k?” He was about to con her and make all of her monsters powerless. He drew from his deck praying. A trap… “Keep drawing until you get a monster.” She held her hand over her deck, ready to draw. “Got it.” He kept drawing until he finally got a monster and it was a good one. Elemental Hero Blade Edge with 2600 points. “Ha! Let’s see what you get.” “Of all the…” Even with Fortune Ladies attack power they weren’t strong enough to beat Blade Edge. She made her hand tremble holding it over her deck ready to draw. “Oh, by the way…” He began, face glowing with victory. “Your Fortune Ladies have no effects, so their attacks will all be zero.” “You’re right..” Though she didn’t look shocked, instead her body swiveled just a bit as her shoulder turned toward her extra deck. She placed her hand over it, getting ready to draw. “What are you doing?!” “I said any deck.” She smirked and pulled Arcana Knight Joker a monster with 3800 attack points. Horrified the boy could only stare. “Ha! Arcana Knight Joker is my toughest monster, who’d knew?” She snickered. “You cheated…” He was shrill with rage. “Nope I followed the rules to a T!” She began collecting his deck, but he smacked her hands away. “These are mine…” tears began to run down his face. He loved his Elemental Hero cards so much and put all his worth and pride into that deck. “Uhh, they’re mine now.” She was callous and quick, snatching up all the cards laughing. He picked up a tall lamp and violently began chasing her around the room, swimming it, with all the intent of killing her, as a child does when they are lied too and robbed. “Hahahahahahahahahaha!” Her laughter was an endless torrid of hell. It soon transformed into a loud blaring sound.
BEEEP-BEEEP-BEEEP!! The dreadful phone alarm sounded, even when it was off and Gaidra, as fast as a mouse trap rose from his sleeping position and shook his head. His hair muffled and a mess swayed about. His alarm clock tormented him. That dream, that was his last encounter with Shielsia, until yesterday where she ‘almost’ defeated him in a duel. “Why did you have to remind me in such detail…” His exhausted groans mumbled, complaining to the god of dreams. Groggily he turned, placing his feet to the floor. His black with white trim, silk pajama’s waved about his tall frame as he reached out to the side to open his window to allow a cool breeze to fill the stuffy room. Such calm and relaxing air, the sound of late summer cicada still filled the morning’s playlist, but it was that point to which a neighbor let out a dog that would bark throughout the whole entire day. Just wonderful, would there be no peaceful moment for him. THUD!!!
A loud crash thundered from down stairs, now would be a good time to ignore it. He looked for a distraction through the collectives of his room. He had many figurines of super heroes and upon hundreds of thousands of comic books and manga. His phone was still on the wireless charger pad. He picked it up and placed his thumb wavingly over the screen, the heat turned it on. Bweep! Bweep!
The text tone went off, his link to his Twitter and Tumblr sang too. He even got classic voice messages. Everyone demanding to know all the information on his defeat. Apparently word got out. He dropped his head beaten, then there was a knock at his door. “Breakfast is ready.” The sweet voice of his mom rang like a chorus of uplifting joy, though amongst the chaos of his phone-chatter it was hard for Gaidra to feel that way. “I’m good…” He didn’t want to go down there, knowing that Shielsia and her old man would most likely be mooching up all their food. “Are you sure, I made donuts and there’s plenty left.” She reinvited. “No… I’ll snatch one on my way out.” Then the door tipped open. The bright brown eyes of his mother gazed in. “Sweetie, you can’t avoid our guests forever.” “I can.” He was stubborn and looked away from his mom. “Well you could.” She admitted this. “But that wouldn’t be very fair to them.” Intrusively she stepped into the room and placed her soft hand on his shoulder. “They came a long way to be with us you know. They’re very nice if you get to know them.” His head creaked toward her and he mumbled. “How do you know?” She looked upwards in confusion. “Oh, I just have a sense about these things I suppose. She is rather beautiful too.” She playfully nudged on his shoulder. “More like a wi-“ Gaidra was about to curse the visiting family more, but his mother didn’t need to hear such a tone of hatred coming from her offspring. “Kay… I’ll go eat some donuts…” Again he was defeated! Her soft lips made a wide and joyful ‘V’ of a smile, leading him out of his room, in a shoving manner. Then proceeding to gather his hamper of dirty laundry. Hand clinging to the railing, Gaidra slowly tip-toed downs the stairs. Quite the commotion met his ears. “That’s so cheap!” The blaring sound of Shielsia’s voice gave his groggy morning demeanor an even greater head ache… “You set that up just to beat me,” she whined. Gaidra came into the kitchen/breakfast nook and saw not only food spread out on the table, but a dueling mat and a game of cards already played out. What was left on the game mat was on Davoski’s side of the field. A Blue eyes white Dragon and a permanent trap called Imperial Iron Wall, which was the source of Shielsia’s rant. Beside the two his dad had the morning paper, folded up over his head; to block out the sound of the bickering opponents, as if they had been at it for hours. Something else was funny. Gaidra opened his eyes a bit wider and noticed Shielsia was dressed in his clothes. “What are you doing in my clothes?!” Her empty hazel eyes gazed back at him, as if the question was meaningless to her. She turned her head, lifting her snout in a snide manner. Then she mumbled, “Not like I intend to keep these rags, it’s just for today.” She was dressed up in one of his black button up shirts, but it was so baggy on her, she had to tie a sash around her waist to keep her curvaceous form accentuated, she left some of the top buttons undone to expose a bit of her tan cleavage. A pair of black cargo pants hug tightly to her hips, though Gaidra was buff and tall, Shielsia’s hips were a rather pronounce feature of her body, even larger than his. Davoski intervened to defuse an oncoming fight between the two. “Don’t worry son, she just needs an outfit for her first day of school. I intend to go clothes shopping for us both today.” “Like hell you are, I’m buying my own outfits!” Shielsia’s face contorted with insult, not allowing anybody else to pick her style. “Oh? What’s that, I hear your wallet’s haunted by poverty!” Davoski teased his own daughter. While the two bickered the phrase ‘first day of school’ kept ringing in Gaidra’s ears. ‘First day of school’ at Wheeler high?!?! “Wait she’s going to school with me!” He bypassed the two, yelling at his father. “That seems to be the case…” His passive aggressive dad, acted as if it was none of his concern, but he was the one who made the suggestion to Davoski: That Shielsia should get a real education, rather than perform carnival tricks for the rest of her life. Davoski and Shielsia stared at the flustered Gaidra who stomped out of the room to get ready for school, skipping breakfast. “You’ve already made an enemy.” Davoski glared down at her who was playing innocent. He kept staring to rid her of the false ignorance. She rolled her eyes and hopped from her seat, gathering her cards together she left the room to find Gaidra. Having no soul Shielsia felt zero guilt for taking Gaidra’s things, or even making him look like a fool as often as she did, though she still had her wits and a very strong sense of right and wrong. Though in the middle of the night while he was sleeping, she did raid his closets for clothes to wear today… She would find him and make a stern apology, maybe which could fix things between them. Small pit pats thumped as she trotted up the stairs and walked down the hall to his room. That’s where she figured he’d be. She bumped into his mother, her face hitting against a laundry basket carried by the tall woman and she fell back a bit. “Ooops, are you alright?” The tender voice asked as Mrs. Drown gazed don at her. Shielsia nodded her head. “Yap, takes a lot more than a football player to take me out.” She laughed. Mrs. Drown tilted her head to the side in an astounded confused manner. “You don’t say. Well Gaidra’s in his room getting ready, he seemed a bit upset-“ “I know, so I’m gonna go cheer him up.” Shielsia announced proudly putting her hand over her orange bangs in a salute like it was an important duty. This brought an even more radiant glow to Mrs. Drown’s face as she nodded, informing her they should be heading to school soon. She continued on her way carrying the heavy laundry basket. ‘Maybe I should help her.’ Thought Shielsia, but she had a more pressing matter! The sooner she could mend things up between Gaidra, the better her experience at school would be. Before the door to Gaidra’s room she was about to knock, but she figured since she was able to sneak in that previous night. Maybe she should do that again and surprise him. No that would just make him angrier. Instead she just opened the door, only to find Gaidra bare a** nude, sorting through his clothes. The tall adolescent had a cut chest, with pecks that formed soft squares, melding against one another with muscular presence. His hips and bottom a bit rounded, but in an alluring way. His abdomen was delightfully slender with a dark blonde happy trail heading to down his… Shielsia would blush if she could as her eyes examined him up and down, fleeting with panic as she froze with the door held open by her stretched out hand. “Ga-Ga…” She stuttered. Gaidra swept a shirt covering his crotch and stood up straight glaring at the intruder. He too was frozen unable to say anything. Not even his girlfriend had seen him naked yet. With a nod she just slowly backed out of the room, the door shutting as she left. She tended to jog down the stairs, passing the breakfast nook she announced she was off. She slung a black back pack over her shoulder with two glaring cat eyes and a faint red outline of the cat’s body, as it’s design. It was a loaner by Mrs. Drown. “Hey, you don’t know you’re way there yet!” Davoski yelled at her reminding. “I’ll find it, thanks.” Her voice faintly replied as she was out of the house. “Have a good day.” Mrs. Drown hopelessly bid farewell. “They grow up so fast.” Mr. Drown wasn’t mentally present as he was busy looking through Davoski’s deck, with a splendid feeling of nostalgia recalling his old cards and strategies, hardly even heeding any attention to the kids.
Running down, now dressed in black pants and a black sleeveless shirt, which had a tight almost turtle neck, going to his Adam’s apple, Gaidra was looking for Shielsia. He decided he shouldn’t hold anything against her. It just an accident… She would need his help getting to school. “She already left.” Davoski had stated which had prone Gaidra to run after her. “Have a good day.” His mom waved good bye. “Have a good one Gai.” Still looking through Davoski’s deck, his father barely appeared aware of anything, as Gaidra and Shielsia would fall into the torrent environment of Wheeler High School.
Yu-Gi-Oh!: Card Game Soap Opera Chapter 5: Reaper of Six Sam’s
Trotting along the paved sidewalks, batting away over grown brush, Shielsia was lost. She had hoped to find somebody walking to ask where Wheeler high school was, but in this day and age, nobody randomly walked about. Many cars zoomed by, it was a 25 mile per hour intersection and they were flying at 50. Looking from road to road, she would have to choose one of them. Divine intervention! She took her back pack off and reached in grabbing a roulette spinner. (As a gypsy/magician’s assistant she had collected many strange and playful devices to use for her act.) She held it with one hand and flicked the arrow with her other. It pointed down Barkion lane. She shrugged and crossed the street, yelling at cars that would fly by her at ridiculous speeds. It seemed nobody knew what the stop sign meant! She was getting frustrated by being lost, there was nobody else walking from what she saw. She found a telephone pole and leapt, grabbing each maintenance peg, until she was up by the transformer. She placed her hand over her brow in a searching manner. There! Down the street was a student, dressed in khakis and a polo shirt. A second later she was in front of him, glassy eyed. “Umm, e-excuse me…” She whimpered, kicking her foot down shyly. “You wouldn’t happen to be going to Wheeler High school?” It was obvious he found her adorable, returning a soft smile to her seemingly shy nature.”Yeah, ya new?” “Sure am, could you show me how to get there?” She flashed him a smile. “Yep stick by me.” He held his arm out for her and she reluctantly wrapped her arm in his. His face glowed radiantly in her presence, though as they walked together Gaidra came down the other way, worried about helping Shielsia and when he saw her all over Greg he scowled. She too saw him, sticking out her tongue, walking past him. “Hey Gai,” Greg casually waved to Gaidra as he passed him at the corner. “Yo.” He replied disdainfully. Greg didn’t understand and as him and Shielsia got distance from Gaidra he looked down at her. “Jeesh, what’s his problem.” “Pffft who knows.” She puffed her lips. Turning back she stared at Gaidra who was now following them to school, a couple blocks. Greg kept talking, but Shielsia wasn’t listening, instead she was busy making faces at Gaidra, who was avoiding her gaze. “Hey, what’s your name?” Greg asked again. “Oh, Shielsia.” She smiled like she was listening the whole time, in a vain effort to present a caring attitude. “Well Shielsia, here we are.” Wheeler High’s main building was a cylinder shape, with two wings forming at each side. The brick-like paneling on the building gave it a rustic appearance, while the cold metal framing on the windows made it seem like they lazily re-renovated. The pavement circled the school and was swallowed by grass on each side between it and the school. Before she could respond, a black and white blur zoomed by her. From what she saw it was a girl dressed in a lacey fall gown, with ruffles on the shoulders, the skirt finely pressed, and though billowy at her ankles, hugged her shapely hips tightly. “Gaidra!” She squealed, practically tackle hugging him. She sobbed loudly, it was as if somebody died. She buried her black hair framed face into his chest. He reluctantly and shyly put an arm around her in consolation. “Does this mean you lost your ranking?” Girlfriend, Shielsia dismissed reluctantly. Ranking?! She realized that nobody died and they were referring to his ‘loss’ against her. “Phew, I thought something seriously bad had happened.” A sigh of relief escaped her lips. “Be not such a novice of the paramount experience that is card games.” A new voice spoke, as the sky was darkened by falling rose pedals. “A wha?” Her eyes went wide upon seeing the rose pedal’s fall, she caught one. It wasn’t actually rose pedals but empty Yu-Gi-Oh card sleeves with a rose print on the back. “Great…” Greg groaned, trying to pull Shielsia away, but curiosity got the best of her as she watched the man approach. He was tall, lean, with black bushy hair, a style of mullet that seemed to fit perfect in the 80s. He wore a plaid lumber jack shirt, unbuttoned at the chest, exposing masculine chest hairs. His tight jeans clung around his legs, and he wore a pair of slick glasses over his dark brown eyes. With one glance he dismissed Shielsia as a commoner, refusing to acknowledge her any longer as he walked toward Gaidra and his clinging consort. His face stared directly at Gaidra’s with a grimace. “I’d challenge you to a duel, but that ship has sailed and no longer bears any meaning upon my cards. Having lost, you are no more than another opponent.” “You take z’hat back, Gai-baby ees zhe best!” The girl howled. “Easy Simone.” Gaidra held his fiery lady back. “Pazzerelli, I could still wipe the floor with you, right here, right now!” He was ready to skip morning period to avenge Pazzerelli’s taunting, activating his duel disk, the triangular gauntlet on his wrist extended forward and folded out. Turning his back to this dog’s back Pazzerelli started his way to the high school, then turned once more to give another quick insult. “A superior being is only superior whilst given the title of superiority.” He smirked cruelly. Gaidra and Simone both hissed violently at Pazzerelli, a refusal of a challenge was cowardly and Pazzerelli presented his in such a smug way it would piss anybody off. Shielsia hated it too, it reminded her the way her dad would treat her. He would pop her with one lucky win, then act victorious and retire, not accepting any challenge for her to redeem herself. She stood in Pazzerelli’s way, her face a demon of determination as she glared up at him. Merely looking down at her, peering through his slick frames he stepped aside to walk around, but she moved to the side as well to stop him. The crowd around the two had grown, several students stopped from heading to glass. Gaidra, Simone and Pazzerelli were the school’s toughest students when it came to the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, and every morning a grudge match between Gaidra and Pazzerelli, or Simone(The duel queen) would take place, so they were waiting for some sort of card monster battle to go down. With an annoyed and an arrogant equipped tone Pazzerelli told the girl to step aside, finally. “You should accept his challenge.” She demanded. “Hmph, what would a poorly dressed peasant, know about a Yu-Gi-Oh challenge, now be so kind to hastefully make way.” Again his tone belittling her. Poorly dressed?! It wasn’t her fault she had to raid clothes that didn’t fit her from Gaidra. She kept her cool though and drew her hand into her pocket. She pulled out a Yu-Gi-Oh card, staring at it. “Ah, so you do dabble in the arts of dueling.” She now caught his attention. She wasn’t too bad looking after all, just that outfit was ill fitted to her. Simone gulped still hanging onto Gaidra. She was the female duel leader of the school, and if this chick thought she could pollute her territory she would get another thing coming! Gaidra too was nervous, would Shielsia reveal the truth…? Shielsia’s eyes gazed at the card she held, then back at Pazzerelli, “The cosmic forces have already decided your fate.” She gave her voice that mystic quality that she did to Gaidra during their duel. He frowned, this trick again? “What nonsense do you jest me with?” Pazzerelli had run into card fortune teller’s before, so he was of course unimpressed with the act, but the way she was so confident aroused his curiosity. “Death;” She revealed to him her Spellbook tower card. In tarot readings the tower usually meant a great tragedy would befall the subject. “So does the young maiden wish to duel?” “My cards already told me you’d lose.” She smirked back at him, now turning her back, her hair done up in a ponytail swished and brushed against his chest, by her quick spin around. Now Pazzerelli was the one who felt the sting of rejection and he refused it. Standing in the glow of the morning sun he threw up his arms. “Duel me now, make your stand!” He demanded. She turned. “Why, you’re too cowardly to face Gaidra, what chance would you have against me!” She boasted. Gaidra’s lips scowled a new frown. He knew where this was going. Pazzerelli glanced at Gaidra, then back at her. Simone did so as well. “You know z’his trash?” She asked sheepishly. “It can’t be.” Pazzerelli’s pupil’s dilated, his glasses could almost crack by how he stared at Shielsia. Reunited her tower card with the rest of her deck, shuffling, and then attention a duel gauntlet to her wrist. She whipped her deck into it and stood tall, pointing her thumb at herself. “I beat him!” She was in dueling position, spreading her legs(most duelists have feet apart to brace themselves for attacks from the virtually played card game), drawing her first hand. Gaidra’s face flushed and dropped down shamefully. Simone kept nagging him if it were true, shaking him, and trying to get him out of the stupor. “You fib!” Pazzerelli laughed. “You had me going for a second, but we’ll see just how good you are, make testament of your victory.” “Oh, I intend to, so hurry and get your cards ready!” She pointed at him, with her index finger, her other three fingers folded down the hand she drew. Just standing there, amongst the crowd of people, Pazzerelli liked to keep his opponent in wait. He always felt when he played cards there should be a sense of occasion.
Upstairs a teacher, dressed in all black, with a bit of scruffy facial hair lightly powdering his face and grayish hair was herding students to his class. He noticed most of them were outside. Probably watching a duel. “Dammit, lemme guess Mr. Derru and Putz.” He asked Greg, who shook his head. “No, a new girl and Putz. The girl’s name is Shielsia.” He recalled from their brief conversation earlier. The name would make it from the class to the halls and back to the crowd, sparing Shielsia from making another introduction. “Phew, nothing, but amateur’s, wasting free education.” He groaned, plopping down in his chair and kicked the wall, speeding the wheels in his chair to the window. He looked down at the flock of kids, a large gap with the two opponents facing each other. The girl stood on the grass while Pazzerelli on the pavement. “Kay, class aint starting until we’re all in here.” He murmured. Nobody responded. He turned to the students, they were all busy in their digital world, texting and watching Youtube on their phones. “Get off your asses and watch this, might as well do something, because you’re obviously not hitting the books.” He ordered in a passive aggressive way. Mr. Stanley hated layabouts, especially in this computer era, where knowledge was no longer sacred, since it was all recorded on phones. His class moved around him, as he leaned over the heater vents. He overwrote the window’s security, so he could open it any time he wanted without sounding alarms. He reason’s if a kid falls out, and dies it’s better off they’re dead then be dead weight in his class.
Shielsia was getting impatient with her opponent, who hadn’t even gotten his dueling gauntlet ready. Then finally another gust of wind passed by and Pazzerelli swept himself into action, quickly drawing his five cards. A flash of red light was passed between the two opponents, it was the duel disk’s scanning the area, for locations to project the virtual monsters. “Well bout time.” She said with 2000 life points on her ready. “Ladies first.” He politely allowed her to go, feeling as if though she would not stand a chance against his mighty Six Samurai deck. She placed a spell card in the underside of her duel disk. “First I play Spellbook of secrets.” A hologram of a book appeared over her duel disk, it was solid vision technology, so she could actually feel the pages of the book. Each page was a different Spellbook card that was in her deck. She picked out the tower. “Next up I play my Spellbook Tower.” Behind her a large tower appeared, it was covered in a glossy silver and rose about the height of the school. The Spellbook of secrets was floating at the tower’s roof. “Lay one face down and end my turn.” A face down monster appeared in front of her in the appearance of a horizontal card back. Pazzerelli shook his head. “You failed to bring out your boss monster, what kind of game are you playing?” “My monster is boss, so make your move.” She crossed her arms over her plump bosom confidently. “My tower predicts your destruction, so this game is over.” Gaidra shook his head, last time he dueled Shielsia she was obviously holding back, now though he was secretly rooting for Pazzerelli. He could get his confidence back, knowing that his loss to her was a fluke! Pazzerelli’s move consisted of summoning Legendary Six Samurai Kageki and Kagemusha. They were soldiers rather weak their attacks consisting of 400 and 200, though Kageki gained a bit of strength because of Kagemusha. “Separate my monsters appear weak, but when combined they become the great Shien!” Both warriors were enveloped in a white glow. A large gateway formed and out from it stepped a large warrior in red armor wearing a samurai helmet, with two armored dragon wings on his back. Everybody in the crowd had witnessed Pazzerelli do this before, it was his standard first move. “Not bad, but it’s only got 2500, there are monsters in my deck with 25000!” She threatened emptily, trying to break his morale, but Shien was his ace monster so whatever she could do now would utterly fail her. “I’m certain you do.” He remained unconvinced and had Shien’s power Hanzo blade lifted over his head, clasped in both hands. “Hanzo blade destroy her defense!” Shielsia’s face down card was sliced in half. “A clean kill.” He continued to boast. “Was it? My face down Magician of spellbook’s doesn’t die so easily, not without giving me a gift.” Her deck again had a glow to it and she swiped another Spellbook card from it. Pazzerelli didn’t care what card she took, he knew whatever it was, it wouldn’t be able to help her, to end his turn he set a couple cards in his spell and trap zone and passed it back to her. Shielsia drew twice. “That’s what my tower does, it returns spell book of secrets to my deck for an extra draw.” The Spellbook of secrets card hovering at her tower’s top vanished and went back into her deck. This clearly annoyed Pazzerelli, she was gaining card advantage fast. “Now it’s time for you to pick a card.” She smirked placing her Spellbook Library of Crescent into her disk. Soon three books with question marks on them appeared in front of Pazzerelli. “I keep whichever one you pick.” “I refuse to give you anything, except this.” He whipped an empty card case with a rose at her. She tried to tear it up, but it was made of a difficult plastic, the kind they wrap French horns in at the grocery store. Reluctantly Pazzerelli picked the middle card. It still didn’t matter to him. “You’re really good at sealing your own doom.” She teased as the card was added to her hand. “Now behold your fortune. Spell book of Power, for you have quite the strong monster.” She began to foretell revealing her Spellbook cards to him. “What game are you playing now?” “Spellbook of Eternity, you struggle with your rival in a forever fight for cards. Last I reveal to you Spell book the master, it will repeat the past.” After she finished revealing her Priestess of Prophecy appeared on the field. Her ribbons glowed with speckles of light as she floated down to the ground from the tower, her feet lightly landing. She had 2500 just like Shien. “I activate my Priestess’s effect, a devastating one.” Shielsia smirked, she figure she had this game already in the bag, but soon chains bounded the poor Priestess. Her arms and legs were all stretched out and her Spellbook vanished. Several flaming torches appeared at every chain holding Priestess. “My priestess!” “What, did you expect me to allow your monster to destroy mine? No, my Fiendish chain will see to that!” Pazzerelli was no fool, he knew of the monster’s effect and how it could banish a Spellbook card to destroy his and go for game. The might of Shien remained unthreatened. “Your monster will still be destroyed!” She played Spellbook of Power to increase the attack power of Priestess by 1000. “Wasting your time.” Pazzerelli just smirked. “We’ll just see about that, how about I play my Spellbook of the Master to give her another power boost!” Shielsia was powering up her monster, all the way to 4500. She was going to annihilate Pazzerelli. “Now Priestess, white magic attack!” She called, but her Priestess still couldn’t move. “What…” She looked at her duel disk in confusion. Pazzerelli laughed at her cruelly. “You fool!” Gaidra cupped his forehead in his hand. “I can’t believe I lost to her… she doesn’t even know that Fiendish chain stops effects and attacks.” With a squeak Simone looked at him. “So it’s true, she did defeat you?” Shielsia for a second look dumbfounded, but her smirk returned with vengeance, “A sneaky ploy, but I intend to free my Priestess, with my all-knowing wisdom.” She threw down the Spellbook of Wisdom card, which even had artwork of her Priestess of Prophecy. “It frees her from all trap effects.” The chains vanished from Priestess and she was free again. “Don’t be hasty girl!” Pazzerelli commanded as the chains once again returned to Priestess, bounding her from attacking yet again. This time the chains were coming from Shien, his sword had a virtual version of Shielsia’s spell book of wisdom card, sliced in half. “I knew your monster had a bonus effect, just wasn’t sure what.” Her morale did not leave her. She set two cards face down and ended her turn. Slowly picking up a card from his deck Pazzerelli’s face was radiant. He loved the position their monsters were in. Her High Priestess was made worthless and he drew a monster that would prevent her from using any spells during her next turn at all! “Don’t play a card just yet.” Shielsia smirked, revealing one of her face down cards. It was a trap card called Prophecy. She picked a card in his hand. “The cosmic forces are telling me that the card you drew is stronger than 2000 points!” “Correct.” Pazzerelli gazed at his Great Shogun Shien, the card he drew, with 2500 attack. “Though you’re not getting it. Do your work mighty Shien!” His face up Shien sliced apart her Prophecy trap card. “Hey!” She grunted. “So you can do that every turn…” She shrugged as if it was no biggy, he used his effect and now her other card could protect her. Pazzerelli proceeded with his turn. “I play Grandmaster of the Six Samurai!” A new samurai appeared, no armor this time and an eye patch over his eye, it had 2100 attack. “To finish my entourage I summon Great Shogun Shien!” In a purple blaze a new samurai wearing a much thicker red armor than Legendary Six Samurai Shien appeared. It had identical attack strength as well. “Now you can only play one spell or trap card per turn.” He paused to let that sink in. “Do you understand the gravity of this lock?” “Lock?” Shielsia tilted her head in confusion. “Stupid girl, does not even know how eet works!” Simone threw her frilly gloved hands out lashing, violently at her. “I begin my assault on your weak Priestess with Legendary Shien!” Though their attacks were the same, he would play his face down Dimension Prison trap card at the first sign of danger. Having no cards in her hand Shielsia placed both her knuckles on her hips. Her face down card was her last hope, and it would indeed save her. “It’s not over yet. I activate Magical Hats.” “Alas you can’t, game over, you lose.” Pazzerelli said in a trolling way, everybody had fallen for his lock before, but the computer running their cards controlled all rulings, so despite what a player said, if a card could be played it would, if it couldn’t it remained face down. Priestess was covered in a large silk hat, freed from the bounds of Fiendish chain and soon the hat multiplied into two more. “It works?” Gaidra cocked his brow. “What z’hat ees eempossible!” Simone whined loudly.
Above Mr. Stanley watched, he was astonished that the machine actually did what Shielsia told it. The duel computer should be complying with all Yu-Gi-oh card game rules. Maybe she knew something that everybody else didn’t. He shook his head and continued to watch Pazzerelli get humiliated.
“You cheating gypsy!” Pazzerelli cursed her, refusing to attack out of sheer stubbornness, declaring her dueling disk was programmed to bypass card game rules. Placing two Spellbook cards in her magical hats Shielsia looked at him like an idiot. “I’d say you’re the one that’s been cheating.” She gawked back at everybody who looked at her like a villain. “You’ve convinced them that this is a legal lock so much that they just bought it and didn’t even bother challenging it.” “Show me the ruling that says it’s not a legal move!” He demanded. “My Magical hats card resolved, is one tidbit of proof, but if you need an explanation here goes.” She rolled her eyes. “I can activate one card per turn, but if my activation is negated, it will not count, since any part of that first card resolved.” She pointed at Legendary Six Samurai Shien who had negated her Prophecy trap card. “My second card is fair game!” “Ha, such a novice. If I Solemn Judgment a summon, you don’t get an extra summon do you?” He counter argued. “You’re just ugly.” She retorted to his novice comment, sticking out her tongue. “On summoning, that’s a turn limit rule fixed into the game. Also you can play as many spell cards that you have and since there limiting by Shogun Shien is a monster effect and not a game ruling, it won’t work the way you think it should.” She laughed, shuffling into her purse finding a beat up copy of the old Yu-Gi-Oh card game rule book. “See, right here, it’s been a solid stone rule since the beginning of the game.” Everybody gathered around her, watching her pink painted finger nail point out the ruling on game mechanics vs. individual card effects. “Whoa she’s right…” A pot head with dread locks and a beard officiated it. Humiliated Pazzerelli stood away, as they all huddled around Shielsia, then they all glared viciously at him. “Cheater!” “You b*****d, I want my five bucks back!” “Son-ova-b***h!” “I’ll be damned.” Gaidra commented. Shielsia looked back at him, flashing a smile, he averted his gaze, but Simone stared fixated, wanting to rip out Shielsia’s red hair.
“Damn, sounds legit.” Mr. Stanley groaned, he even felt the wrath of Pazzerelli’s cheatiness lock. He was impressed with the girl’s knowledge, but he knew the Magical hats put Priestess in defense mode and each other hat had zero defense power.
“Hanzo blades strike!” In anger Pazzerelli had his three monsters tear apart the hats, finding Priestess in the last hat, striking her down. Now Shielsia was only left with her tower and her extra draw… “I’m not even going to let you have your extra draw next turn!” Pazzerelli played Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy her tower. Shielsia turned back to watch her tower, which now had six spellbook’s flying all around, get destroyed by the powerful winds and rain of the astral typhoon. As the tower was destroyed each Spellbook remained and they hovered around her. “As I said, tower was the key to your death.” She turned around facing, her opponent. Her sharp piercing eyes locked on Pazzerelli. Everybody backed away from her as each spell book she touched glowed. She selected all six of them. By now he was beyond sick of her cards and how they worked, he was especially frustrated with her and soon a new monster appeared on her side with 2600 attack points. It wore a hooded robe with a v’ cap atop it’s head and held a large jagged scythe in it’s hands. “When the reaper is played, so is the Destroyer.” Shielsia’s voice was cold as another beast came to her field. It was a muscular horned soldier with devil wings, looking like Summoned skull would in his life time. It had 2500 attack points as well. Drawing a Spellbook card from her deck, because of Reaper’s effect, then drawing another spell card. “Looks like this one’s done.” She went from cold to smirking, her victory was laid out, as she laid together her Prophecy Destroy and her Reaper of Prophecy creating a new Xyz monster. She was a magician girl dressed in black, her black Magician’s cap and a sword like scepter in her hand. “Magi Magi Magician girl’s not only style in black, but she is the monster to finish you off!” 2400/2000 “It looks just like Dark Magician girl!” Bug eyes in the crowd stated. “Whoa, she’s way cooler.” Shielsia defended her monster, ignoring Pazzerelli. The Magician girl winked back at her. “I detach Destroyer of Prophecy to use Magi Magi’s effect.” She also banished one card from her hand and banished three Spellbook cards from her graveyard to use Destroyer’s effect to revive him. Suddenly Pazzerelli’s Legendary Six Samurai Shien was under Shielsia’s control. The flirtatious Magician girl lured him over to join Shielsia’s side. “Thing’s just aren’t looking so great for you Putz!” Shielsia used the name everybody else called him, as it naturally came to her. “No.. You can’t..” “Ooh, don’t even bother with your face down card, because you know Shien will just shut it down!” First she attacked Shogun Shien with Destroyer for a double kill off. A pile of bones and armor remained steaming. Then Magician girl destroyed Grand master’s dealing 300 and as he was wide open Legendary Six Samurai Shien sliced through his trap and his life points, reducing him to zero. A whole entire duel in one paragraph. Everybody was stunned, not only by how she beat Putz, but how she debunked his knowledge of the game as well. She was instantly popular amongst the card game crowd, though as a performing gypsy she knew how to deal with crowd’s easily. Backing away, whilst bowing, she went into her purse again and pulled out a sheet and kept pulling and pulling, until she vanished. “Phwew… gonna run out of linen at this rate.” She mumbled to herself sneaking away in the back. Pazzerelli vowed not only vengeance, but to have a union with her. “Such veracity.” He was on one knee, in shame of his defeat. “She must be mine.” He looked to a pale kid with long hair, who had the complexion of a skeleton. “That girl, who is she!?” He demanded to know. After a delay in thought the pale Joshy kid responded “word is her name is Shielsia.” Simone glared at Gaidra and Pazzerelli, over hearing the name, two losers to the girl. She also made a vow, which she would be the one to end Shielsia’s winning streak!
Gaidra found Shielsia slinking around the back after he pried Simone away from him. “What is your problem?” “My problem!?” She glared at him, then took his question into consideration, giving a very vain answer, “I just kick too much butt I suppose.” She declared in a pondering statement. “Nobody just beats me and Puts and gets away with it…” He said in a worried tone. “Huh, rematch then?” She suggested thinking he was after his old title. He shook his head. “Everybody is going to want a piece of you, so-be-careful.” He turned away sadly, but she hugged him from behind, practically strangling him. He could feel her plump bosom press against his back, larger than Simone’s, he thought as a guy would. “let’em!” She shouted in his ear playfully. She lived with no feelings with that came no fear. She had an understanding of danger, but the comprehensiveness of it was lost on her. Then she let him go and laughed nervously. “Can you show me to room 0211?”
