so starved have I been for a real book that I've been inhaling The Uglies on my iphone. about 2/3 done, started a day ago haha.
just got to part 3 a little bit ago. Two "oh s**t" moments in a row: the first was in the book, when Tally wakes up to hear the invasion. Didn't actually start reading the next part yet.
then I got up to look at what I'm supposed to write for a paper due tomorrow, thinking that I can totally BS it. second moment: when I realized I have to actually read the chapter assigned for the day. gonk
so, a fun-filled evening full of homework and wondering where the hell my roommates disappeared to again.
it is, btw, one of the strangest feelings to crawl into bed at 1:30am and not have the foggiest idea where they are, because they aren't in bed.
bahaha.
but seriously, last night was entertaining. rather, all of yesterday. Got to sleep in, then had free food and family time up the wazoo at g-ma's 87th b-day/AJ's 3rd b-day/family Thanksgiving party. started at a hotel, then moved to an evening at Pizza Ranch. Then drove back to IA, watched people (especially the RH one (as being referred to from here on out... meaning? ridiculously handsome xDDD)) carve pumpkins, got really worried for a friend when she hyperventilated 3 times after cutting her thumb wide open and ended up walking/awkwardly carrying her all the way across campus to her dorm so she could sleep. then a brisk walk across campus again to my dorm to grab a blanket and another friend, and it was off to see a psychological thriller movie, called Exam. Pretty decent. :] RH was there, as well as #2 as of right now (simply because of the mystery surrounding him... he's popping up everywhere on facebook, so seeing him in real life -albeit from a distance- is like: ".... he exists?! " *oogle*).
then bed.
ended up sleeping until 11:30 this morning, so much for church haha. stayed in bed until 1 reading, then dragged myself out of bed to get to the office before the freaking doors locked at 2 because it's Sunday. did an hour's work there (suuuper excited to see the folders tomorrow!), came back to practice clari w/ my accompanist for a recital coming up (muuuuugh, so nervous), went to the radio to do some tracking, figured out I'm about halfway through my fundraising efforts to get to Jamaica, had supper, read in bed to kill my least favorite time of day as the sun is setting and things are all gross and unproductive, and here we sit.
hello.
looks to be a pretty quiet week homework-wise, planning to work ahead to avoid the chaos coming the next two weeks after (in preparation for Thanksgiving).
= ~9 papers and 4 tests.
hoping to get 3 papers finished up this week. One huge test in econ that I'm not looking forward to this week, also.
Was going too fast on the last test in that class. Ended up getting a C+. and that's when I understood the material. o.o;;...
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS SEMESTER TO BE OVER. NEW YEARS 2013 CAN'T COME FAST ENOUGH.
Seriously. I'm sick of all this s**t going on. PR & small group meetings every week, lessons and practices for piano, voice, and clarinet, s**t at the office.
Next semester I can look forward to getting rid of small group & PR meetings, as well as clarinet junk. Maybe I'll get back to the dorm before 9:00 every night!
haha.
but seriously, next semester looks interesting.
History of the English Language, Business & Technical Writing, Principles of Marketing, Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, and the Social Psychology of Persons (that title cracks me up every time... xD)
sounds heavy, but I think it's the kind of stuff that I'll enjoy and not have a hard time working through. (read: It won't be a timesuck like this semester.)
7:58. Folks, I think it's time for me to end this one-sided conversation, turn on the TV, and write a paper about how PR is different than marketing.
because I'm just that awesome.
