"Ratoncito." The younger looked up from twirling the flower in his hand, up at the other who sat beside him. "Que piensas?"
"Nada importante, Vaquero." The man nodded, dropping his hat on his friend's head and lying back, resting his head on his lap as he was fond of doing. "Que haces?"
"Voy a tomar una siesta." The cowboy grinned, earning a return grin from the little mousy fellow he was using as a pillow. Church mouse quiet as always, he leaned down, setting his head on the taller man's belly. The cowboy reached over, brushing the scraggly, curly bangs away from the freckle-nosed, pale face. "Quieres una siesta tambien?"
"Si, Memo." Little Mouse nuzzled his head into his belly, hugging him around his middle. "Eres un gran almohada."
"Gracias, mi ratoncito." He reached up, plucking the hat from his head and settling it down over the other's face. "Vamos. Toma tu siesta ahora y puedo hacer el mismo." Soon enough, Mouse's breathing steadied out into even little puffs punctuated by a few deeper drags.
The cowboy shifted his broad-brimmed hat a little further over the little sleeper's eyes, leaning his head back onto his hands. Freeing one, he reached down and stroked the younger man's cheek, thinking back on the time he'd met the little ghost hunter.
