one hot day amongst perfect ones.
fell asleep around 2:30 this morning, dog wanted me up at 8:45. As soon as he saw I was awake enough to not go back to bed, he fell asleep himself. stare
at least he's independent.
i keep losing things. Like my money jar and portable hard drive.
T.T
keep seeing these things about people not coming back to college. I even went so far as to look up other ones, just for crap.
but then I used St. Cloud State's tuition calculator, just for kicks, and I'd be paying more there than where I go, simply because I get a buttload of scholarships and grants and stuff that public school kids can't get their hands on because it's the government's money.
it'd be even more awesome to stay if I could only be in a freaking apartment. *sigh*
flipping $2200 cheaper to live in there.
oh well. I feel like I'm somehow more comfortable in my own skin compared to last year, and am looking forward to being a little more extroverted than I was then.
confidence, perhaps?
the re-styled ginger hair?
certainly haven't lost any weight. I have, however, learned a few good habits and stuff (good things to eat, new water bottle, bought a bike, etc) over the summer that will be more than useful when the school year starts and I'm NOT SURROUNDED BY FOOD 24/7.
*fume*
in any case, time to keep packing, whether I can find the stuff or not.
blargh.

what a strange day. lots to do, yet nothing at all.
MY MIMOSA SEEDS CAME TODAY!!! whee after an hour's deliberation of whether or not I should get them started before school, I finally decided to just do it today. Currently they're sitting in a thermos of hot water, and a strange soil mixture is draining outside waiting for them (some peat moss thing smells like s**t. just about gagged when i was pulling it out of the bag by hand)
tried weeding at one point, too; there was this GIANT ant on one of the ones I pulled out, and the next thing I know, there's a very sharp pain on the end of my pinky finger. Look down, and it's got enough of my finger in its mouth to draw blood. O.O I promptly shrieked at the top of my lungs and violently shook my hand, and it was still there when I looked again so I shrieked again, and tried brushing it off without it touching anything.
it was finally gone, I was inspecting the damage, and the dog looks like he does when he's in trouble, because he knows it's never a good thing when I scream lol.
good thing I was home alone.
so I don't think I'll be weeding again any time soon.
