moved the towels and such out of one of the tubs; it has now become the Tub of Completely Random Crap That Needs to Go to College But Doesn't Have a Way to Get There Otherwise.
bahaha.
including, among many other things, floss, a bike wrench thing, a couple movies, jewelry, book rings, and anything else I happen upon in my packings that needs to get to college but doesn't belong with anything.
... my room smells amazing for some reason. <3
also, finished the 6th HP book in less than 24 hours (counting solid reading, of course; started Saturday night around 10:30, and got done last night around midnight). I didn't remember a lot that happened in it, mainly because there wasn't a lot that happened. O.e;;. it was more of a transition book from Hogwarts life to Killing Voldemort Full Time life. In any case, I bawled my eyes out for an hour when Dumbledore died.
it was a mess. A soggy corner of my blanket and two sopping wet kleenex later (it was like holding a giant slimy glob of snot e.e), I was still sniffling (and quite frankly, just trying to breathe through my nose (which had been completely blocked around the same time my eustachian tubes painfully stuffed up)) I was still upset after I read it.
Right after it happened I could barely see the pages for all the tears that were blurring my vision...
this time it was weird because I was, for the first time, torn. by the end of the entire series, I remember pitying Snape because I finally knew his whole story; this time around, I still pitied him, but simultaneously burned with hatred (and mixed feelings about the whole thing) for what he had done.
blah.
well if I keep this pace up, I shall indeed have made my goal for the summer, however close I cut it haha.
sorted jewelry this morning. As always, it was accompanied by a great sense of loss for the missing pieces that were so precious to me.
but sorrow aside, saw online a brilliant thing that I may make eventually: a jewelry book! It was just pages and pages of earring hole things; that would work marvelously for all of my schtuff~
also have been super excited for the arrival of my mimosa pudica seeds. ( whee ) i'm just worried about getting them the right soil... hrm. but they're supposedly super easy to grow (albeit small and short-lived...) so i'm not too worried.
right then. plan the rest of the day: check the mail, have lunch, paint the house, read, and keep packing in my awesome-smelling room.
bahaha biggrin
