Lord Tarros
Tarros
Reference/description : I assume he is an alicorn, though I am not sure if the horns would change that. Anyways his coat is a grass green color, varying in shade from flank to head, while his mane is an earthy brown. He always has clumps of earth and clay weaved among his main, and spots of mud on his coat. A cold looks stays in his eyes which have light blue hue. An upward curve stays on his horn, and has ram horns behind it. (Don't know seemed more 'earthy'.) Being an alicorn he is also tall.
Personality: Heralded with the task of keeping the land, (a task he takes great pride in) Lord Tarros has a deep love for the earth under his hooves. He is easily offended, if somepony were to regard him is 'dirty' or 'filthy' because of the mud in his mane he would yell at them were there nopony watching. He has wings, which he rarely uses, choosing to walk where he may to feel the ground under him, though he also takes pride in his title, and being an alicorn, it is this 'dirt' which he holds highest. He seems like a cold, stoic pony, and for the most part he is, but he has great disdain for the common pony who hold his lands in such low regard, not taking a second glance upon the mighty ground they walk on, and neglecting to pick up litter off of his love. He can be very wrathful and intemperate behind closed stables, were somepony to annoy him in from of other's he would merely ignore them preserving his image, but if alone he would shout a great "Silence" and levitate them a short distance away. He pays little attention to his cousins, the heralds of the Sun and Moon, though is obligated to respect their power and throne. (Just something to come to mind is would be if a hippy became king, without the drugs.)
Cutie mark and meaning: His cutie mark is a mountain, representing the greatest of monuments on his land. He is tasked with the lands, he did not create them though, it was an earlier ancestor of there's and he envies them for creating his love, he makes sure nothing too sour happens among the grounds, strolling around the lands making sure fissures aren't too deep and such.
Likes: The earth. I think that's pretty much it, nothing else seems to tickle his fancy... at all. He eats because he must, and drink or he shall die.
Hates: This would be a long, long list. A long list indeed. Flying is a loathed past-time which he must endure in case of emergencies. Litter, one of the things that ticks him off is the ponys' constant littering.
Flaws: What would be his short temper, unnatural obsession to his earth, and an unyielding sense of duty to it, keeps him from enjoying his life, or anypony elses'.
Strengths: He is granted high magic being an alicorn, though nothing to rival his cousins, Celestia and Luna. Had he power enough to move the sun, or even the moon, he would move the mountains, and cause constant earthquakes to get ponies from disrespecting the land. (He's not too nice.) He can fly (although it wouldn't be with speed of a pegasus, he is rather large, and is unpracticed at it.) He is level headed when there comes a problem. He can keep face in a crowd, it's been a VERY long time since a public outburst, he will not not suffer the embarrassment of being scolded by the princess ever again.
Bio: Tarros was born long ago... too long, alicorns have such a dreadfully long life-span. He had one sibling, Marr, Lord to the seas, these titles were predetermined at birth. Alicorns are meant for a purpose, and they will keep that purpose. He does not know nor does he question his job, or any of his family, the alicorn family tree is a pretty small one, but vastly important. He quickly grew into his sense of duty. He would not have to deal with the common-pony (too often) and run a country, no his older cousin was more than adept at that, he is more like a royal janitor of the lands, there to keep his lands acceptable. He would never-ever think of it like this. He owns a manor on the borders of Equestria, funny to think he 'technically' only owns this as his land despite his title of "Lord" of lands. For what would be too long he was holed up in this manor, the only visitors were his brother, and the odd pony who knew of him, and heard he might be able to fix their little 'earthquake problem' though for the most part they would not, they would seek the princess for help, and she would most likely oblige, because she could. This angered him, that somepony would belittle him so. A couple centuries before Luna's banishment a town had suffered a fissure cause by a burrowing dragon's tunnel (dragons are noponies business more often than not and he had no control over this.) He came to the small town and mustered most of his power to try to return the land to what it was. He had done, in his opinion, a fine job (and an undeserved charity) to the townsfolk, mostly sealing the fissure. Though most pony in town did not think so, a demi-god in charge of the land could not fully fix a fissure? What a joke. Instead of giving him the thanks his royal-self deserved, they merely questioned him, asking why their town was still in ruins, they saw him as little, already sending a letter to their princess, explaining their dissatisfaction. Of course the princess would have sided with her cousin, for he did what he could, but his reaction spoiled it. In this public hearing, he lost his temper and boomed at the ponies, yelling at them, shouting at the unworthy whelps. He stormed off to his manor, walking most of the way. Celestia came to town and gave her regrets on the town's condition that they would have to rebuild most of it themselves, she would provide some help with the guard, a small lecture on respect was given to the ponies. Yet this was nothing compared to what she told the Lord of Lands, when he had gotten to his manor, they informed The Princess was waiting to speak to him. Very few times does royalty get scolded, or rather, yelled at. Stone-faced through the whole lecture, she had decreed that he would give a formal apology to the town-folk. It's been a long time since then, but he came out with a disdain for the common-pony. He now walks the roads keeping an eye on the lands. Nothing of importance ever happens around him.
