Sophie was born in a small village, in mid winter. The villagers found this unusual because she was born of half demon and normally, half demons were born in the start of summer (every six years, a child was born half demon). Yet, the villagers did not care one bit. When the half demon child turns 18, the demon side of them takes over no matter what and a day before they turn 18, the villagers drive the child out of the village and the villagers still intended to drive Sophie out. The only person that thought differently of her, because she was born at a different time, was her father.
One day, when Sophie was only 5, she walked in on her parents fighting. For some odd reason, her mother went mad and stabbed her father in the shoulder. Sophie cried out for her father who hit the floor. Before her mother could give her father another stab, Sophie ran and killed her mother. When her father looked up at her, he was shocked. Sophie's hair had turned black, her eyes were amber instead of brown, and her skin had become grayish color. The dagger that her mother used on her father, stuck out of her stomach. Sophie looked at her father and said "I protected you, daddy..." The village elder came in. He saw the dead body on the floor then Sophie as her looks went back to normal. The elder had a couple of villagers carry Sophie's father to his place to be healed and he had little Sophie come with. Her father explained what had happened and the villagers suddenly became scared to Sophie just 'cause she was able to transform into her demon form at such a young age. The village elder told that they had nothing to fear because she was different from the other half demons. He explained that her eyes had turned to an amber color and that the normal half demon would have red. Also that her skin had turned to a more lighter gray color than the normal half demon who had more of a darker gray color to their skin. And the elder announced that Sophie will not be driven out of the village. Though some villagers were not pleased to hear so and still wanted her out.
