murgh.
still the bike thing.
planning on taking the plunge tomorrow morning and getting one. this is a lot like the rollerblade thing, except now I think I've "seen the light" haha...
multiple reasons now:
1. the Campaign
2. reward for cleaning and finding money
3. ease of transportation this fall
4. more getaways during the school year where I zip off and do homework in a random park a few miles from anyplace. I would've done more of that this past year, except kenzie's bike was super messed up... if a dude were to ride that, they would be rendered infertile, let's just put it that way haha.
5. i love, love, LOVE!! to bike. I used to clock a ton of miles on my old bike until my brother broke it, and I just haven't had time to get out and get a new one (or have time to ride it) since then. It's surprising how strong my leg muscles are when they aren't having to support my body weight... they have to hold up 200 pounds every waking moment; imagine putting that force into something else. (ratio is still crap, of course, but I have to find something to brag about... ;P )
dyed my hair for the first time by myself yesterday morning. One of my fav shades, too, so I feel pretty awesome~ ^^ Trying the whole curling my hair with a headband thing; would've worked splendidly last time I tried except for the fact that my headband was too small... can't even feel this one now, so there's some progress.
made the sweet & sour chicken and karen made fried rice for supper tonight. an utter fail in my opinion, but everyone else seemed to like it enough to finish their plates... not get seconds, mind you, but they finished their plates...
I knew it was going to fail when I mixed a crapton of sugar and vinegar together for the sauce, and also when i saw that the chicken looked like scrambled eggs.
finished up a flyer for the business venture. Now I have to think of places to put them where no one will know me, or if they do, they don't tease me incessantly about it... hmmm.
going with the "honesty is the best policy" idea and telling them straight out that I like housework but am only doing it to get some money for tuition.
that hourly charge is awful tempting... if this works, I am most definitely trying it this fall, too.
have to start selling back the books online. saved all of my receipts and stuff so I know how much i paid for each book; now to turn a profit~~
you know, for being 4 weeks into vacation, it doesn't feel like I've been home very long at all. I need to learn to fully appreciate this time I have to sit back and relax, because it's not going to last very long at all. Come to think of it, this will probably be the last time in my whole entire life when I have the chance to do this.
and that, ladies and gentlemen, is a scary thought.
