A sonnet i had to write for ELA. omg... it took me forever, ohhh how i hate writing. x:
We dance to an original new beat,
And sing along to our only soul song.
We face the world in its painful defeat
Although we try to be clever and strong.
We walk a solemn path to a nice place,
And only stop when our breath is withdrawn.
But we only stare Death in his cruel face
When our end has come and our song is gone.
We leave an eternal mark on this world:
A splash of color and a memory.
Our innocence is stolen and is hurled
Down a drain leading to great treachery.
Let us dance the night away and live life.
We’ve only got one so put down that knife.
