I'm surprised it took me nearly two years to obtain this game but I thoroughly enjoyed it. After all, all 4 other Phoenix Wright series games hasn't let me down.
Story wise, we meet Miles Edgeworth, a very famous prosecutor and rival of the mainstream protagonist Defense Attorney, Phoenix Wright. Miles finds himself caught in multiple murders which he must solve using evidence and logic. With the help of the lovable oaf detective d**k Gumshoe and Edgeworth's version of Maya Fey, Kay Faraday, self proclaimed Thief for TRUTH, he must find the truth behind these murder and dive into a criminal organization that is throwing over the world.
The biggest difference unlike previous Ace Attorney games is that we are playing the role of prosecutor. However we never battle in court. Majority of the game takes place in the crime scenes and the areas around there. Since Miles does not possess the ability of Psyche Locks nor the Perceive System, Miles deduces situations using Logic and utilizes Kay's Little Thief device to link common ideas and replicate crime scenes respectively. Also you fully control Miles since, rather than moving via, clickable routes to locations, Edgeworth roams a map.
The music of the game is as great as its predecessors. The music gives off different vibes depending upon the situation. I personally love the Expose the Truth~2009 track when most of the guilty party confesses.
Nonny's rating: 8/10. It is a marvelous spin off from Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice seeing as there are a lot of similarities, but AAI has it's own appeal that makes it much more special than PW or AJ. Can't wait for the sequel.
Nonny's tip: Read testimonies carefully and examine all evidence. Most contradictions are easy to pick out. If you can't find anything, Press. Sometime you'll need to dig deep to find what you're looking for.
