ᑥᖆĕᗩŢĨƔĕ ĨƝƧᗩƝĨŢŶ
Heterochromia Part I
"Ha, not so high and mighty now are you?"

The guard who stood behind me and to the left, his sword, and that of the guard on my right, blade stabbed his sword into my back, vertical to my heart. They were placed in just such a way that if I tried to run to either side, I would be impaled in the heart, and would have the pleasure of dieing by their swords. Of course it could have been worse. At the typical execution grounds there were also archers up in the high building's, their bow-strings pulled back, ready to kill you at a moment's notice. But of course they didn't want this to be public. They being the 'government'. But everyone knew there was no real government, only an overlord playing chess, moving his minions to do what he says, in fear of death.

The guard on the right stabbed his sword a little farther into my back. The blade had definatly gone through my coat as was now peircing the flesh of my back. "Watch it," I muttered under my breathe. "Oh she speaks!" If I could have turned around without getting stabbed, I would have shot the guard on the right the dirtiest look I could muster.

Despite my imending death I only walked through the woods, my head held high and my shoulders square. I could almost feel the irratation radiating from the guards. They were hoping for some scared little girl, what most people would expect. Not that I could be described as anything like a typical fourteen year old girl. I mean how could I? How many fourteen year old girls are officially executed on order of the dictorial leader of the 'government'. Tell me if you know anymore. I'm curious now.

"Halt!" My feet stopped moving, now planted in the damp forest floor. The guards removed their swords from my back, leaving half an inch deep cuts in my back and pulling ropes from thier belts. I knew what was coming, and debated upon trying to escape before a man walked out of the shadows of the brush, carrying a gun. It made me cringe, only the wonderful dictorial government was allowed guns and technology. In the moment I had spent thinking the guards were able to push me to the ground, shoving my head down and tieing my limbs to a wooden pole behind me. I managed to look up at my too be killer, an assasin trained by the governmen to take out whoever got in their way.

I glared at him, awaiting the pull of the trigger when I heard a branch break in the woods behind the assasin. I closed my eyes, putting my head back down and listened. Sounds of punches connecting with faces, kicks cracking ribs and bodies hitting the forest floor. I only opened my eyes when I felt the ropes slide from my wrists. I stood up to look at the two who had interupted the execution.

To those who they had just defeated, the two might have looked basicly normal. One was a girl with white-blonde hair and pale skin. She has fair skin and a thin form. The boy was several inches taller than the girl with tawny brown hair, tanned skin, and slightly tones muscles. Everything's perfectly normal right? Until you look into their eyes.

"Zora, you're ok!" The blonde hair girl said, wrapping her arms around me for a second. "Of course Blaire," I said with a smile, looking into her one turquoise and one gray eyes. The boy, Zander, only rolled his eyes. His one yellow and one green eyes glaring at me. "You have to be more careful, or next time we might not be able to save you."

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, I'll remind you of your words when we have to bail you out of jail for stealing food, without a plan might I add."

Zander just shook his head and began walking, Blaire and I following behind.
