Caught in the cross-fire between Cole and Winchester, Darren dove into an alcove that split the ground apart, a space just large enough for him to fit inside. He crawled to the edge, where he could see the sphere of light no far in the distance. He looked back at Winchester, who was firing a blast at Cole, who quickly ducked into cover behind a stone barricade. With one last deep breath, Darren jumped up and dashed through the battlefield as blast after blast streaked all around him. He pushed his left foot into the ground hard, leaned forward over the cliff-side, and threw his leg up in the air, sending him soaring upwards, but stopping short, and plummeting back to the ground. Something was pulling him down, otherwise he could have easily made a soft landing, but he crashed into the ground hard on his back. After wailing in pain he rolled over and pivoted with his foot, attempting to lift himself off of the ground, but he felt gravity pulling an extra wieght on him again. He laid on his stomach with a crushing amount of force being applied to his back. He forced his head up to face a man he had seen before.
"Hello, Darren. I believe we never finished our battle before."
Shark said.
"Really? Because I remember kicking your a**."
Darren mumbled with the remaining strength he had left. The pressure on his back increased, and he could hear a strange cracking sound.
"I could simply break you in half, but that would be too easy. As soon Cole finishes your friend off, he will be more than pleased to find you, alive."
Shark thought aloud. An idea formed in his head.
"If you really think you're stronger than me, then release me, lets have a fair fight!"
Darren shouted, trying not to wince with pain. Shark smirked.
"Do you think I'm stupid, Darren? I've got you! If you were better than me, then you wouldn't be in this situation."
"If I had you in this position, Cole would leave you to die. That's where ous sides differ. You are no better than a group of street thugs. I acually have friends."
Darren said. To him, he was only seeing success in his plan. But Shhark had a plan of his own.
"You know, why wait for Cole to do it? I can kill you even more painfully than him."
Shark knelt down next to Darren, whose back was arched backwards.
"All you have to do to make me stop, is to free youself and push me away. Can you do that Darren?"
Shark asked crudly. He knew Darren wasn't able to break free. Shark looked at him and shook his head.
"It's sad, really. I like a challenge. But, you have caused me enough trouble."
He raised his hands, and slowly began folding them together. As he did this, Darren's body was folded inward, pulling his feet and his head together. He screamed out in pain as his spine cracked and bent throughout his body. Darren tried and tried to find some energy in him to over power his enemy, but Darren was too weak now. He needed help, just like anytime before. Darren thought about how he had always had help in these situations. As his spine continued to crackle inside of his back, Darren called out a name:
"RYAN!"
Out of all the people Darren knew, the one he wanted with him now was Ryan. Without another moments noticed, his back felt slighlty at ease as he was returned his will and he lay flat against the cold, rocky ground.
"Ryan? Ryan can't help you, Darren! Only you can. The only way to defeat me is to defeat yourself. If you can't overcome your own flaws, then you don't deserve this gift."
Darren thought about everything Shark had just said. It felt as though Shark was helping him, but he couldn't understand why. He formulated everything in his head.
"To beat myself would be to take advantage of my flaws, but you and I share different flaws!"
"Don't focus on my flaws, think about yours. How would you go about defeating yourself?"
He asked. Darren closed his eyes, and when he re-opened them, he was being bent backwards still. The pain had never stopped. That may have been in his mind, but he understood all of it. He just didn't know what his flaws were.

Parts of a book I am writing as they flow into my mind. I need a place to get it all in writing.
