15 days and counting. can't wait for doc's appt on friday
been a quirky day.
started out by having some blood drawn this morning before heading out to do gates. it wasn't a problem (never has been in the past, either) until Robin said, "I missed you."
which meant, of course, "I missed the vein."
gonk darn you, stupid veins.
and considering even watching the movie 300 made me lightheaded, THIS was... interesting. about equivalent, if you leave out the part about me having to actually lay down for a minute or so in a dark, secluded room...
then immediately following that was a very, very, very painful drive to the fairgrounds. Right before "that time", I get these killer pains in my stomach that make me double over in pain and just want to sit there and die.
but they only last for about 10 minutes, thankfully.
so by then, karen was getting kind of worried about me, and after we were done with gates (went w/o a hitch) we grabbed lunch, checked exhibits, and I proceeded to have one of my worse coughing fits. Worse because somehow there was mucus that prevented me from breathing in more than shallow gulps of air at a time.
blah. several of those kinds of coughing fits, a sorer than normal foot (hit it on something again this morning), and a not-good-at-all feeling considering all things 4-H and otherwise made the day suck a little.
just..... yeah. judging was horrible, and I realized that all of my projects were crap.
got a red on the quilt. by the end, though, I was expecting a white, so I guess that's okay...??
state lineup towards the bottom of three or so projects; no grands or reserves this year. T.T
feeling I've been in a depression for awhile... *sigh* makes summer really suck.
on the plus:
randomly running into TJ at the fair in the morning
wearing my OC t-shirt to work... legally. ;P
foodstand food!
bull riding was fun to watch with paige and her friend
closer than most people's parking spots out of the grounds
agility was fun to watch. gates were simple and i had study time
so as of now, I feel burned out.
not pretty.
rather stupid.
and regretting a crapton of stuff that's happened this summer.
or, in most cases, what hasn't happened.
Mark Twain was right when he said that 60 years from now when you look back, you will more regret the things you didn't do than the things you did.
do I feel old? you have no idea. ^^
