Far away yet still so near
That is where I reside in here
You all walk past me day by day
Do even see me, anyway?
Downcast eyes and silent screams
All alone with lonesome dreams
I always feel so out of place
I am here; without a face
Noppera-bo, Noppera-bo
Where did all the others go?
They all have left without a trace;
Left me here without a face.
Treading down these crowded halls
List'ning not to silent calls
I feel no touch of friendships past
Friendships I had hoped to last.
Some are here and will still stay
But I never see them anyway
I have no features, nothing there
I have no self, for whom to care.
Noppera-bo, Noppera-bo
Where did all the others go?
They all have gone so far away
Faceless now, here I must stay.
Once I was not a faceless ghost;
Once I was center of a friendly host
But now it seems something changed
Is it you? Or is it me, deranged?
I cannot tell, how hard I try!
But something's come twixt you and I
All of you, you stay so far
Can I not come to where you are?
Noppera-bo, Noppera-bo
I have no self, no face to show
It once was mine, but you looked though
I know it now- I’m nothing true
And here I stay without a face
Standing here so out of place
Will you all just walk away?
Or will one, just one, with me stay?
Noppera-bo, Noppera-bo
Where did all the others go?
They all have gone without a trace
Leaving me here without a face.
That is where I reside in here
You all walk past me day by day
Do even see me, anyway?
