I have been having mixed emotions. I mean there is this one guy at school who i had broken up with a month ago but i still love him. I broke up with him b/c of stress but I guess i could handle that stress better with him. I mean i think i really do love him but i'm not sure if he loves me anymore. I mean how could he love me after i had someone tell him i was breaking up with him and then for a month i didn't tell him why? I just don't see how that is possible. I want to cry i love him so much. I just don't know what to do. The only thing keeping me going right now is this story and i know that's pathetic but it's true.

Chapter four: The goodbye

Illaina walked out with her suitcase and walked down the street. Jason was behind her with the trunk of food. As she was walking down the street she heard a bunch of chatter. She turned the corner and stopped dead in her tracks. The whole town was standing in the middle of the street looking at her. She then started to walk again but a little girl stopped her.

"Miss Illaina why are you leaving?" the little girl asked. Illaina stared at her for a minute.

"B/c i don't like it here." Illaina answered. The little girl looked down with sorrow.

"But I love you and i don't want you to leave." The little girl said and latched to her leg. Illaina stared down at the girl in shock. No one had ever touched her. Jason was just watching all this from a couple of steps away.

"If you're leaving then I'm comin' too!" THe little girl cried in a five year old voice. Illaina stopped and grabbed the little girl and held her in her arms.

"But i bet your mommy would get upset if you left her." Illaina said. The little girl shook her head.

"My mommy and daddy are dead. My 6 brothers ran away and my little sister didn't live to see her 4'th birthday. She died of cancer that had hit her when she was 1." the little girl said.

"Well this town is just chalk full of lost and alone children." Illaina said," and what's your name little girl?"

"My name's Yoru (night)" The little girl said. Illaina nodded her head.

"Can I come with you? I don't like it here either." Yoru said. Illaina nodded her head and looked at Jason

"Looks like we got another tropper with us. Do you like carrying that trunk?" Illaina asked. Jason shook his head. Illaina tossed him a backpack.

"Put the food in there before we leave please." Illaina said. Jason did just that. He put the backpack on his back and Illaina , Jason, and Yoru walked out of the town gates.
