so i guess it's off to un-do everything i've done this morning, one more try of the dress with a few old sheets, then off to practice the bodice with the material from the prom dress i bought from goodwill. lol.
how sad that it was the dress that i was planning to wear if i lost a little weight...
oh impatience. :]
jen mentioned something about going prom dress shopping. i told her it'd be fun to tag along, but i just might go to the Cities sometime with the madre to get something as a backup in case my brilliant idea now doesn't work lol.
but there's pretty much nothing about what i'm doing now that has a high chance of going wrong.
because that's what practice is for. :]
eventually i'll post some pics of the real deal once i get that set up...
but for now, there's stuff I gotta practice.
-making an invisible zipper
-designing a more fabric-conservative (20- 45 yds of $8/yd fabric is kinda spendy...) but still utterly awesome skirt
-playing with chiffon and satin
-anyone wanna take a swing at dyeing?
-boning/interfacing
-should i be doing any ruching?
-support in the halter? (like boob cups and/or the one invisible strap thing i've seen on the inside of many dresses...)
none of that in any particular order, of course... hah.
piano lessons canceled today.
more than likely work tonight (should ask just in case, though...), hopefully will get paid tomorrow.
