boo. still with the dress thing... hopefully it'll be done soon. ;P
pretty much decided on a design for a custom dress, looking into how I'm going to do it....
decision: ombre chiffon (dark blue on top fading to white) outside layer (w/ some sorta white silky thing underneath), a-line, empire waistline (done w/ white chiffon that wraps around to back and flows down w/ rest of skirt), and one-shoulder thing (in the darker color/more ombre?) that will also meet up w/ the white chiffon belt thing (which might possibly be ombre, tambien) in the back near the small of my back or so w/ a custom-made metal/wire butterfly (4+ inch. across??)... and the bust will be a very slight sweetheart and i'll put a bunch of jewels along the top.
problem!!! how in the heck does one go about dyeing chiffon?
everywhere i read they say you can't really dye it, but that begs the question: how did the DESIGNERS do it that can sell their dresses for $500+?
homework time!
