Hatapon's Chant
O great Kami, I call out to thee
We have crossed the sea
Met with disaster
A giant monster and some tribal spellcaster
To Earthend! To Earthend!
Now we fall before the mighty, and we flee before the strong
No.....we must stand proud
Hear us chant loud!
To Earthend! To Earthend!
O great Kami, lead us with the call of your almighty drum
After your beats, listen to us hum
Together we will fight
To see the divine sight
To Earthend! To Earthend!
O great Kami, I am your voice
O come great pata-solders, let us rejoice
The great Kami leads us to war
Let our mighty pata-chants shake you to your core
To Earthend! To Earthend!

"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess
We seek it thus, and take it to the sky
Ripples form on the water’s surface
The wandering soul knows no rest."

Pretty cool! I read a poem by some famous Russian last week that was a chant but all the words were just sounds. Not Russian or any other language, just the sounds he wanted to give the feeling he wanted. I won't lie and say I liked it.. BUT IT WAS INTERESTING! The idea that a poem could just be sounds.
The book I'm trying to read is about the developement of 20th century poetry.
