* Back before DADT, when Bush I was president, my military friends and I were discussing letting gays and lesbians serve openly. One of the things one hears is that we'll need special rules to "handle" LGB soldiers. One of the guys pointed out there are already rules about sex and sexual harassment within a change of command, so you don't actually need new rules for any of those things. That's been one of the arguments for delay, that we'll need a whole bunch of extra rules.
