Rain is a specialized android built for Hikaru by his elder sister Michiko. like human he does have emotion and his own thoughts, therefore when he first met Hikaru and attempted to treat him like his master, he was surprised to be shouted at for addressing himself in that manner. Hikaru informed him that they were not master and slave, but friends.
Rain was able to explore the world outside the mansion and would return with souvenirs for hiker and tell him stories of how the normal population lived their daily lives. Rain takes ace of Hikaru every need when possible be it waking him up, washing his back, helping him dress, or being a listening ear, he is there, always with a sot smile that only hiker has the privilege to see.
To others rain appears a bit cold and unsociable, but he does have a sot side for animals an plants. He is the type that will stop on the sidewalk to pet a cat or build a small shelter to cover some abandoned kittens from the rain.
Eventually Rains feelings towards Hikaru move past just friends and he leaves for ear of accidentally forcing his own feelings on the boy and to not burden him. ate he leaves Hikaru begins to search or him and ignores all he knows venting out o the mansion walls. A storm hits and he is stranded in the rain. he stumbles through the streets only to be hit on and almost taken away by a group of thugs. Rain steps in and fights them off only to receive a weakened punch from Hikaru who's legs buckle under him.
Rain is shocked when he sees the boy crying but before he can ask what is wrong Hikaruasks him why he left. When he answers with the fact he was no longer fit to be by the boys sideHikaru scream at him calling him an idiot and weakly hitting the androids chest before confessing that Rain was the only one he wanted and that no one could make him smile like the taller male.
Rain the proceeds to try and persuade him otherwise informing him that their emotions and feeling are not the same, only to be cut of by Hikaru pulling him down by his shirt and kissing him.
After that night, Rain never left the boys side and even through the tough times of his sickness he would always be there for him with a soft smile and a warm comforting embrace.
