His mother died during birth and his Father is over seas at work. He was raised in his family's mansion by his elder sister by 11 years and the various maids. He is rarely ever let out of the mansion grounds due to being anemic and having a rare blood disease making him weak and frail. Due to this he was tutored at home and now had a college degree thanks to the fast pace learning. He is skilled with computers and loves to to learn new things. He often dreams about leaving the mansion grounds and exploring the town and world like normal people do.
Seeing his loneliness his Sister, a great mind in the technological field, built and designed an android to be his friend and companion. Hikaru gave the android man the name 'Rain' and they quickly became close, Closer than anyone had expected.
Due to his weak body Hikaru's legs sometimes give out and he is forced to stay in a wheel chair for some time. Still, Rain never leaves his side. He is always there to catch the boy when his legs give out, and to push him in his wheelchair. the only orders he follows are those given by Hikaru, for he is the only one Rain cares for.
