this is something i wrote about a year ago...? i think. anyways, its not very long, but i thought it was a really god beginning to a story, and i hope that whoever reads this will enjoy it as well. i know its not that great, but just take it as it is.
His vision was blurry and obscured. His head rested on the cold damp stone sidewalk. He reached towards the people walking away from him. no…..he screamed in his head. no. I’m not gone yet! I cant die…I..I haven’t finished protecting her….his already shallow breathing was becoming weaker by the second. No one noticed as tears began to fall from is eyes. if I am not going to be there…then please…please, someone, anyone, watch over her for me. Just make sure nothing happens..to..her….his breathing ended. As abruptly as his life had once began, it had now ended. A woman in a hospital screamed as she gave birth to a new born baby. She clutched at her husbands hand as he whispered it would be okay. Soon it was over. The doctor walked over with a bundle in a blue blanket. The woman and her husband smiled. Both had wanted a son for such a long time. The doctor handed the bundle to the couple. Tears of happiness stung at there eyes as the saw him for the first time. “he’s beautiful…” the man said, as he reached out and touched him.
A few years later.
He sat in a tree like he always did. He loved this tree because it looked over everything. He felt like he could see the entire world from up here. It was his secret place. He had been coming here ever since he could remember. True, he was only 10 years old, but to him everything seemed like forever. The sun began to set in front of him. This was one of the reasons he loved it here. He loved the peaceful silence, and the beautiful darkness that would soon follow the setting of the sun.
