so. State Dog Show!
started it off with a horrible (like, crying for two hours) jumpers thing, then in my next class I got grand champion at STATE!! whee got a pretty purple, big rosette and a plaque for it~ heart then we went back to Pat and Mark's million dollar mansion (seriously!) and picked raspberries and celebrated my success with a trip to Culvers (did you know their pumpkin spice blizzard things taste like you're drinking a pumpkin pie? absolutely epic!! biggrin ). then Sunday I got a red in rally (tight lead...) and a blue in regular obedience~ and then we hustled home (and didn't get one of my ribbons and my engraved leather lead :[ ) to On-Call practice. mom and dad had a parents meeting, so i walked around with the dog...
he killed a pigeon under the bridge. xD
then we got chased by a stray dog so we sprinted to the warehouse and hid inside until we saw it run past following a car... then back to the parking lot and talking with karen until practice began. heart
so today (btw! i got eleven hours of sleep for once! insane!) choir/piano lessons, then meeting with mom, and idk. prolly homework. haven't thought about it at all this weekend. =P
STILL don't know if I have a job next month, so karen and i are skipping play tryouts this morning and we're gonna do it tomorrow morning.
gonna practice scholarship music now. still haven't picked out clarinet stuff... sweatdrop
...... it was one of those amazing weights-lifted-off-my-shoulders feelings when i walked out of the 4-H building for the final time after my last class. The moment i walked through those doors, I was done with Dog Project for good. Admittedly, I felt a little worried that i made the right decision, but I think I did. I've learned a ton of stuff these past two years that i otherwise wouldn't've known, and because of it, i have a dog that can sit, heel, down, stay, recall, stand for exam, go over hurdles and A-frames, run through tunnels both collapsed and otherwise, go down on command from running, and a ton of other stuff that can't really be described. It was fun while it lasted, but there is a time for everything, and yesterday it was time to call it quits.
