Halfway through French, I realized I'd left my agenda. I stood up and told Mme Pennelli about the situation, and she told me I could go get it. I left and went to the courtyard, looked all around the bench, and couldn't find it anywhere. I was a little worried, because I keep personal thoughts and feelings in my agenda, and if it was stolen people could read that.
Anyway, I was a bit sad but okay with it, and I walked back to class. I was keeping my eyes low and focused on the floor because I've been feeling a bit self-consious about the sunburn scars all over the right side of my face. As I was sitting down I glanced at my seat and noticed something was there. I said, "oh," and picked it up to see what it was.
What I held in my hand was a really well-crafted paper tulip. I have no idea how it got there. It doesn't have anything written on it, and nobody claimed it as their gift. I'm supposing it was meant for me, but then it could have gotten there accidentally. I have no idea. All I know is that it had to be from somebody in my French class. I don't know who. But I guess it doesn't really matter. Just getting it was enough.
{{Oh, and I eventually got back my agenda. Nannette had accidentally picked it up thinking it was hers and thus left it for me in my algebra class, so I was able to get it back two hours after I realized I'd lost it.}}
