Oh man, what a week! I just got back from Colorado two days ago there's suddenly not a whole lot of work to do. So far, I only went back to work this past Tuesday and now I'm suddenly having two days off due to the store being remodeled. Anyway, I didn't see much along the way to Colorado since there was nothing but flat plains in Nebraska (I fell asleep most of the time through there). We were already able to see the Rocky Mountains as soon as we got to Denver and met up with my big brother at his apartment. For the first two days at his place, we watched a bunch of movies on Netflix.
On Saturday, we drove all the way up to the top of the Rockies and got a fantastic view of the wilderness along the way. It was scary because of all of the sharp turns we keep making plus there were hardly any guard rails... at all! Still, it was a whole lot of fun making the trip up and down the mountains, even though we got lost in some of the small towns on the other side. As we left Denver for home, my mom, dad, and I kept bumping into a few airports, trying to figure out the way we came in! The next day at around two in the morning, we accidentally hit a deer with the car we rented!
It was a good thing that it wasn't seriously damaged since the deer only popped out the left headlight. Neither us or the police could find the deer's body after that, so maybe he/she survived and ran off. We finally made it home after making a stop at the car rental place to explain the situation, filled out the paperwork, and pay for the damage(s). I was so tired, I slepted for three hours as soon as we got home! All in all, this has been one swell vacation!
