Lloyd leaned against the front desk, his back toward the doors. He drummed his fingers repeatedly against the cool counter top, eyes closed. A yawn fell from his mouth as he heard the door open with a swoosh.
“Finally,” he muttered as he turned around, his eyes bright and shining, a cute smile on his lips. “Hello there...” he looked Yuuichi up and down, “Sir. Looking for a room? Bathroom? My room? Her room?” he laughed happily, his eyes darting to the burning cigarette that dangled from Yuuichi‘s lips.
“Don’t tell me, ‘no smoking’?” Yuuichi stopped, his back to the closed door. He squinted at the happy man. Uggh, damn night people and their... happy whisked through his head.
“Sorry, sir, it be the rule,” Lloyd tapped on the front desk, directing Yuuichi’s eyes to the sign. A burning cigarette with an X over it.
Yuuichi frowned at the sign, "Target practice."
Lloyd’s eyes fell onto the sign, “Actually, no, it is a ‘no smoking sign’. Haha, but I can see how you misinterpreted it.” He smiled, then, his lips turning up in a sweet, disarming grin.
Yuuichi groaned. Walking over to the desk, the cigarette between his fingers, he stubbed the burning tip into the center of the sign, blue eyes locked on Lloyd. “Target practice,” he hissed.
Lloyd dropped his eyes, hiding his discomfort. Once he regained control, his smiling eyes met Yuuichi’s. “Now that you got rid of that small hindrance, would you like a room?”
Yuuichi stared hard at Lloyd. Human, he thought. A sweet one, too. He smiled, “Why yes, Lloyd, I would love a room.”
Startled by his name, Lloyd nodded wordlessly, typing something into the front desks‘ computer. “And how many, sir?”
“Your name is on your name tag, don’t look so spooked when someone you don’t know uses it,” Yuuichi sighed as he leaned over the counter, eyes falling onto the keyboard. “One bed will do, thank you. And just put the name ‘Sin’.”
Lloyd blinked, unsure of how to react to the first. When in doubt, skip ahead, “Okay, a single bedroom for Sin..” he rolled his eyes up to meet Yuuichi’s. There was just something about him. Something entrancing. He wasn’t attracted to this Mr. Sin, was he? He was, after all, male.
Yuuichi smiled, his lips forming a delicate yet seductive grin. “Sounds good. Can you lead me? I have nothing to wait for, no suitcases or anything."
Lloyd glanced out the door at the darkness. No one was coming. He sighed as he grabbed a key from behind him, “Why, yes, Mr Sin. Please follow me this way, I shall escort you to your room.” Lloyd wandered from behind the desk heading to the stairs, “Elevator or the stairs, sir? Though, from looking at you, you don’t need to exercise.” He laughed to himself, turning to face Yuuichi.
Yuuichi closed his eyes and flashed a smile, hiding what he was truly thinking. “The stairs, Lloyd. I’m not a fan of elevators.”
“As you wish, Mr Sin.” he started up the stairs, the key spinning around his middle finger. “I am curious, sir, what brings you here in the middle of the night?”
Yuuichi followed behind him, eyes following the mans brown shoes. “I’m a vampire, sir, and I have no where else to sleep tonight. My wife, Oddie, kicked me out,” he smiled sweetly.
Lloyd turned around suddenly, unable to keep the surprise off his face. “Vampir-“ his sentence was cut off as he fell, tripping over the next stair and his own show. His back hit the stairs hard, hands slamming against the rough carpet. His head would have hit if it wasn’t for Yuuichi’s hand.
“Just teasing,” Yuuichi smiled, flashing straight white teeth. He carefully helped Lloyd up, his hand on the back of his head, the other on his arm. “Are you okay? I wasn’t excepting you to... fall that hard,” he dusted off his shoulders, causing him to grimace.
“Yes, yes, I’m fine. Thank you. I just...” Lloyd shook his head then stopped, eyes shut tight, “I just need to lay down, haha. Sorry, sir. Do you think you will be able to make it to your room from here?”
Yuuichi smiled, “Yes. You need to lie down. You took a nasty fall on those stairs.” He started moving up the rest of the stairs to the first stretch of rooms, his arm around Lloyd’s shoulders. “Why don’t you rest in my room. I need to shower and get something to eat, you’ll have enough time.”
Lloyd gave a nervous smile, “Ah, that is too kind of you, but I could not stand to be so bothersome.”
“I insist, Lloyd. It was my fault you fell. It is the least I can do,” Yuuichi said softly, his voice falling around Lloyd.
Lloyd shivered. “If you insist... are you sure I won’t be bothersome?”
Yuuichi grinned, staring straight down the hall, “Oh, very sure.”
Lloyd smiled as kindly as he could, but honestly, he wasn’t liking this too much. Though laying down sounded good, something about Mr Sin screamed a warning in his head. And for some strange reason, he couldn’t get himself to say ‘no, sir’, to refuse the very generous offer.
Yuuichi smiled, feeling Lloyd’s discomfort. “Don’t worry. I’m not going to kill you or anything,” his voice flowed smoothly as he unlocked the door with the key. “I just think you should lay down, honest.” He moved into the hotel room, eyes gazing at the red on red. Lloyd stayed just outside the door. “Fine. I was just trying to be nice. Go back to the empty downstairs. Just shut the door when you leave, Lloyd.” Yuuichi turned to face the still standing man, his hands traveling back to his pockets. If he used his powers too much, what he was planning to do would be judged as ‘rape’, or ‘raping the mind’ to be more specific. That was not Yuuichi’s idea of a good time.
Lloyd stood still, unsure of what to do. He didn’t want to go back down to the empty lobby, and he could use a good rest. Just, something made this all uncomfortable. Something...
Yuuichi sighed turning around. He slid his jacket off and let it drop to the floor as he walked farther into the room. He had his tank top halfway off when Lloyd gasped.
“What are you doing?!” Lloyd yelped, taking a step into the room. His eyes wide.
Yuuichi turned slowly, the tank top pulled up enough to reveal his stomach. He dropped his head enough to hide his grin. Things would work out, he knew it. “My, someone has jumped to conclusions.”
“Excuse me?!”
“You think I’m going to get naked in front of you, that is why you have stopped me, no?” Yuuichi finished lifting the black tank top up over his head, tossing it to the side of the room. His eyes on Lloyd. This was taking too much time, he wanted to get back to the bar. It was tempting to use his magic on him.
Lloyd stood there, shocked. His eyes couldn’t help but to run down the other mans bare, pale chest, curving over his nipples, along the line of dark hair that circled his belly button to disappear into his pants- he blushed.
Yuuichi gave a deep chuckle. “Go back to the lobby, boy. I’m only going to go take a shower, not get nude and jump you.” He turned away from him, moving toward the bathroom. His hands fell to his waist and started undoing the belt as he moved.
Lloyd stayed, unmoving. He stood there, head dropped as a blush reddened his cheeks. “Boy?” he hissed, “I’m older than you.”
Yuuichi stopped, the belt trailing along the floor. “Oh, you are older than me?” he turned to the side as he asked this, giving Lloyd only his profile. Lloyd lifted his head enough to see him, nodding his head. “Are you so sure?” Yuuichi dropped the belt, turning now to fully face the other man.
Lloyd stood a little straighter, though more unsure. His eyes held his confusion as the younger looking man walked toward him. Oh yes, he was younger. He had to be. Lloyd blinked at him. Something was fighting him, something about the way this man felt now, the air around him, added years, many years, to his age.
“Look at me, Lloyd.” Yuuichi’s voice dropped lower to a painful growl. His black pants slid down, exposing the top of his boxers, his narrow waist. “Now, tell me, who is older?”
I have to be older. He looks no older than twenty. Lloyd took a deep breath, eyes rising to meet Yuuichi. “I….”
“You?”
“No… No. You can’t be older! You can’t be!” Lloyd shrunk back from the other man. Years of intelligence burned in his blue eyes, burned with knowing, not reading. This man, this man was many, many years older. Lloyd dropped his head, hands covering his face. An overwhelming feeling filled him from his feet to the top of his head. A feeling of anger, rage, need, confusion. Emotions mixed in his mind like a cup, filling and sinking into one another.
When Yuuichi’s bare hand touched his shoulder, Lloyd went still. A fine tremble started up his spine, started along his shoulders. What was wrong with him.
“Poor, poor Lloyd. Are you so unsure of yourself? Do you not see that there is more to the world than mere humans?” Yuuichi moved closer, both his hands sliding along Lloyd’s arms.
