Summary:
It is the year 2050 AD. Civilization has advanced greatly since the present day time. The production of technology is the driving force and pillar of strength in the world economy. People use technology for every day chores, transportation, work, and just for enjoyment. Their lives are completely reliant on using these machines of wonder.
Too bad not everyone can have access to them.
Five years ago, the Delta Corporation led by their president, Medelyn Ambrosia, worked to bring down the government of the city of Lazarus, the capital city of the world. The Delta Corp. took over as the new form of government, with Medelyn as the new leader. The citizens of the world were relieved; their former government had been taxing them to death.
To tell the truth, their old government would begin to look a lot more...sane, shall we say.
Medelyn soon became one of the most ruthless dictators that the world has ever known. She passed the legislation that seemed to only favour the upper classes, she introduced more taxes than ever before. Soon only those with money could afford the latest technology. The lower classes were adamant about protesting on the streets, using violence if need be to get their dictator's attention.
However, they were soon suppressed.
Not only is Medelyn a powerful authortative figure, but she is also a brilliant scientist. Some say she's insane, others say her knowledge of science is formidable. She silenced the protesters by unleashing her most prized troops, the KAROS 9000s, or the "Mana Soldiers." They were ordinary military soldiers, or people snatched off of the street who appeared to have potential, who were "modified" by science. They were augmented with unbelievable strength and speed, and each of these soldiers possesses a certain power, depending on the person. However their minds are all alike; they are forced to eliminate on behalf of their cruel leader, whether they want to or not. Often these people are brainwashed into following orders, their memories of their past life being completely erased. They are nothing but killing machines.
This inhumanity must be stopped. Or will you allow it to continue, believing it is for the greater good?

Hokay. So, as implied above, there are two sides you can be on: those fighting against Delta Corp. and those fighting with Delta Corp. If you are an ordinary citizen, you are free to make-up whatever backstory you wish. Just try to be as original as possible. Remember if you are a non-Mana Soldier, then you do not have any powers. You may use weapons and technological gadgets instead. Herse Loughton, one of the main storyline characters, is the exception here, because he is an ex-Mana Soldier.
If you are supporting Delta Corp., you have many options. You can either be a Mana Soldier serving in Medelyn's army or a Commander leading a platoon, but you don't have to be. You can be a part of the Delta Corp.'s lab team of scientists (see ranking list for details), or work in an administrative job in Delta. It is up to you. (I will post the ranking list for admins and army ranks shortly.) Be aware that if you are a Mana Soldier, you can choose your power, but you do not have a physical weapon. Only Platoon Leaders and higher-ups in the army have weapons.
There are some storyline characters as well, but they must adhere to the rules of the roleplay. You also must reserve the positions and get them approved by me. Medelyn is already taken; she will be played by me. I will also be playing as Herse. If you are interested in taking on one of the storyline characters, PM me first with your proposal. I can give you an idea of the character's persona that you've specified.
