I listen to the of the crikets and the constant chewing of my Ginny pig waiting to hear a dog bark across the street and hears the sound of music coming from my sisters room across the hall wishing to fall asleep but sleep does not come the sounds of the night washed away as morong comes I close my eyes loving the total darkness behind my eye lids my mind toys with me and I lay still thou once in awhile I shift back and forth pounding the bed with my fist hoping to fall in a sweet dream of pure darkness hoping to stop my woundering mind my breathing slow the sound blends with the quiet hums of the air condishoning the sound soothing me but my thoughts haunt me as I lay here in my dark cold room listening to the silance nothing is making a sound except the crikets making their sounds my Ginny pig is quiet will I ever sleep
