Life in general is an ongoing rollercoaster; there are those times when you feel like your on top of the world, overseeing everything, then radically you hit a turning point and you feel as though everything is plummeting. This idea may come to mind as very basic and already known to some, but to actually live this rollercoaster adventure in a day is an entirely different story...
There was a cool, early spring breeze as I stepped out of my white expedition toward the breeding grounds of knowledge, aka school. I was in a somber state of mind as I walked to my group of friends, carrying nothing but the clothes dressed upon me. There was no worry in the world to me because I had only one thing in mind... I was going to Knotts.
As the day reached 7:30am, the entire Physics club of El Camino loaded into the "charter" buses. (To you this club may sound a bit nerdy, but in reality, this group of individuals were actually the smart ditchers that knew there was a way to skip school legally.) Sitting in the buses with my group of friends, a surprisingly large amount of azns with a group total of 20 people, we had planned our days activities with eager hearts...
While traveling northward toward L.A. on a 2 hour trip (presumably only a 45 minute trip in a car), the wait was lengthened tremendously due to our eagerness to arrive. But really, what person in their right mind would want to wait to land in the shuttle at an amusement park?
When we landed, every 200 persons from our school swarmed to the entrance to the park. We noticed that there were other schools there and that was pretty obvious due to the fact that it was Physics Day at Knott's. As I remember of my last experience from Physics day at Knott's, I can recall that there would be an entire park full of nerds and hot women. To women, this place would be a great place to hang out with your girl friends, and for the singled men, this is the perfect place to meet a girl.
Entering the park, my friends and I somehow had split up from one another. It was strange, but all of us were jus too caught up with our own adventures. As a result, I was kickin' most of my time with my senior friends, 3 dudes- Mario, Lou Gin, and Chris; and one hot girl, Jessica. lol.
The entire experience there was strange and fun at the same time. Though the park's theme was more childish, the rides were more for the young adults. Its not too often you'd see a little kid ride a thrill ride that would spin you around untill you barf, or another that would carry you on a raft up a slope then drop you 50 feet down into a pool of water.
Another thing that was strange were the other people that were enjoying the experience with us. After riding the Silver Bullet 3 times in a row, a ride that straps you into a seat then lets your legs dangle as you spin frivorously, my friends and I sat down on the nearest bench. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a random white chick in her teens jumps onto my lap. This had scared the crap out of me cuz I had my hands covering my eyes as I tried to regain my conciousness. Another experience with weird people was when we were waiting in line for the Accelerator- one that seats you in a cart and launches you up about 60 to 70 feet in the air; this time there were two little girls. The weird thing about them was not just that they were wearing an excessive amount of make-up, but it was the fact that they were a bit too abusive. One of the lil girls, aged 11, asked my friend Lou Gin if she can touch his curly hair. He said it was alright, then both of the girls grabbed his hair and tried to pull it off. Not only that, but they were continuously touching him after he tried to ignore them. Finally, he got pissed off, told them to off nicely (cuz they were lil kids), then moved in front of me in line. When that happend, one of the lil girls stuck her 2 hands down my back pockets in my pants. If that wasnt awkward enough, she said that she was looking for a condom cuz she wanted to know what they looked like. eek I can tell you this, that little girl will be one of those women you would see on the corner of the streets asking to give you pleasure for your money. Like my friend Lou Gin would say, "Only in Knott's will you see something like this..."
Before I end my story about my strange but fun experience at Knott's, I would like to tell about my highlights in the day. First off, I won a blue monkey playing one of the carnival games, my friends and I found a great mexican restaurant that gave a lot of food for a nice price, and finally my friends and I were caught on the Channel 2 News as we were actin crazy. The best part about that was the fact that a my friend Mario's bro called in a couple minutes later and said that he saw us on the t.v. xd
Great days never last forever because there is always an end. That night we exited the park and headed for home. The dark trip in those cluttered buses are always a time when everyone reflects back from their experiences. That feeling is never different whether it was after a football game or a track meet- those thoughts of your epic adventures fly through your mind repeatedly and freely; from the first steps you had taken along with your fellow comrades into the unknown; from the time you watch your friend puke the funnel cake he had jus eaten with you before riding a corkscrew rollercoaster; from the time you miss that perfect opportunity to talk to that beautiful girl sittin on the bench even though you knew perfectly well that her boy friend was still in the bathroom. This rollercoaster your mind rides always exemplifies the natural beauty of how all life reaches its high and low points, the spontanious outbursts of reaching those critical points in tough times until finally these worries freeze over. All epics in life will stand out, whether they are good or bad, which therefore live inside as a memorable experience...
