Silky smooth lies bundle around something,
masking the hideous odor.
The stitching of secrets pulls taut, stretching past it's limit.
I know what lies beneath false pretenses, what hides behind the curtain.
It frightens me.
One quick peek leaves me gasping for breath.
It's just too much.
I yell out but the truth falls free of it's false protection, consuming me.
Devouring me.
Destroying every last bit of me.
It kills me inside to finally realize the ugly truth.
I am nothing to you.
