The year was 2006. Sometime soon Lilith, Adin, Mary, Sam, and I would HAVE to face it. There was no turning back now. Of course, Rina had given us all a choice. And we had all agreed. It seemed like just yesterday Lilith and I were still human. I suddenly thought of my parents. Obviously, they had died already, long ago. In 1946, a year after World War II had ended, I returned, with Lilith of course, to Scotland. There, we found our parents' graves. A sudden noise broke me away from my memory. It was my Blackberry ringing and I answered.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Taylor?" said Lilith. "I'm coming. It starts at 9!"
Great. Now all of us would have to face it in less than an hour.
