IT took him a long time to convince them that she was necessary. He had survived their harsh training all alone, when it was designed to break two normal men, but it had broken his mind. They hadnĀ“t even bothered to heal the damage they had done, just dumped him back in his own country. Mindless and babbling in a language entirely foreign in this world, he wandered down the streets until he found something that stirred dim memories. He wandered down a path that had once been as familiar to him as his own hand. Eventually his feet led him to a door that brought vague feelings of safety and he alumped against the door.
