[Bio] Corinne Charlie Zane was born on January 1, 1994, at 12:13 in the
morning to mother Kate, a nurse, and father David, a lawyer. She had an older brother, Blake, who was 5 years older than her. She loved him very much, and they were very close. Corinne lived next door to the Merlottes, who had twin boys the same age as her; Jacob and Jace. They met at the age of 6, and have been Corinne's best friends ever since. They played in the forest and meadow behind their neighborhood after school, and all day on the weekends. Corinne's happy life was near perfect, until one warm July evening. Her parents got a call from the police. Blake, then 16, had been out with some friends, and had gotten themselves into a car accident. Blake was sitting in the front passenger seat, and was the only non-survivor. Corinne was 11. After this tragic event, Corinne dove into a deep depression. She began cutting herself; little cuts on her fingers and hands, and long slashes every which way across her arms. She would steal her parents' alcohol and drink until she couldn't stand up without falling over. She started taking overdoses of her father's migraine pills with the alcohol, and one night she almost killed herself while doing it. By now Corinne was 15 years old and a freshman in high school. She knew it had to stop, so she turned to her childhood friends, Jacob and Jace. Together they told Corinne's parents about everything, and she went through psychological treatment for two years. Her outtake on life is a lot more positive now, and she's a junior in high school with Jacob and Jace.
